Tomatoes Souped

Christmas, the (now orange stained) Queen of Cute, fetched several slightly squishy cherry tomatos from the garbage can and enjoyed — judging from the tracks of tomato blood — a lively game of multi-ball tomato soccer on the kitchen floor.

Apparently she tried to clean up her mess before I found it. Both the dish towel and the sink sponge are on the floor as well. The exhausted kitten is curled up in front of the refrigerator on the throw rug (which belongs in front of the sink).

Fluffy, with orange tinted paws, is sitting on the washing machine high above the mess and trying to tell me that none of this was his idea. Isn’t it amazing how much trouble one litle crippled kitten can get into all by herself?

Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. And just like children, they point the finger – as if saying – but I am not to blame. Many say that if they could talk (utter words) they would be like walking, talking, living, breathing, cartoons – some with even ‘human’ attributes

  2. LOL I can’t believe you didn’t post a picture of that. I hope she enjoyed the tomatoes!

I agree with jb, it isn’t just crippled kittens. haha

  3. Poor Fluffy. I’m sure he got the orange paws from trying to clean up Chrissy’s mess. Really. Then he knew you were gonna blame him so he removed himself from the vicinity. But he forgot about those darn paws.

    Oh well.

  4. Came across your link on Dr. Johns page, it is amazing all of the trouble that animals seem to get into all by themselves, they are just as bad as kids sometimes.

  5. I came from Dr Johns
I think a video of the deed would have been cute.
You should have seen the sceen when my oldest child was about one and found a bag of tomatoes on the table brought in by a neighbor. He thought they made good balls.

  6. Pets are something else. My dog, a golden retriever who is 8 and sleeps all day and pretends it is too hard to walk, went and ate the choc. chip pancakes we had left over from my daughter’s sleepover!
Sounds like you have had a messy couple of days…I hope it cleans up soon!

I was sent by Dr. John, a guy who randomly selects blogs and sends all his disciples to to make a comment to make a person’s day.

  7. Sent From Dr John..

I am getting 2 kittens today, and now I have insight as to what to expect! Oh Lord, am I in for it! LOL

I’ll have to make sure the tomatoes are well hidden now!

  8. HI, I am sent from Dr Johns blog.

We also have a cat….and a dog! You never know what they are up to!

  9. In our house, it was one of the cats that got in the trash this morning and made a big mess while we were gone. Then he has the nerve to give you a look that says, “Well…my dish was empty.” Here from Dr. John’s.

  10. After I got done laughing at Christmas’ antics then I started laughing as I could picture the look on your face as you discovered this scene… lol… 🙂

  11. I would have loved video or a picture of this scene, but I wasn’t home when it happened. And if I had been home it likely wouldn’t have happened.

I need a spycam. I wonder what else they do when I leave?
