The Family Who Blogs Together ….

The family who blogs together steals one another’s limelight. Be that as it may, I’d like to introduce you to a couple of my relatives:

My nieces, Cindra Jo and Brooke, have joined the Blogspot community. They are the daughters of my sister, (Jackie, who comments here occasionally and calls me CB). Both of these “kids” (grown women, but don’t tell them I admitted it) are wonderful people. Stop by their blogs and tell them Auntie QuillDancer sent you.

Cindra can be found here: Cindra Jo and Co. I don’t know how long Cindra has been reading my blogs, but she posted her first comment to me on, The Grownups Wanted Us Dead, yesterday. Of course it was sass and she added a couple of details about my character that you all didn’t need to know.

Brooke can be found here: Brooke’s Musings Brooke has been reading my blog since its inception. You’ll find her comments sprinkled here and there. Brooke never sasses. She just says, “Yes, Mom,” or, “Yes, Auntie,” then proceeds to make her own decisions. There is someone else in our family she most reminds me of, but I can’t for the life of me think who that is ….

This little plaque was a gift from Brooke.

Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. “… and then proceeds to make her own decisions.” But you don’t know who in our family that most reminds you of? Yeah, ok… ::: giggling loudly ::: I’m not sure, but it might just be you. 🙂

  2. Sweet One, as large as our family is you could have picked a better role model. You could have chosen someone a little more sedate, a little more rational and a little more traditional. Someone like … hmmm, no … no …. no, not that one, either … no … no … no …. Hang on, this could tak awhile ….

  3. Sass, you say? Hhhhhmph. You sound like someone I know…oh, yeah. Her…

Don’t get me started, missy! I’ll reveal your true character and your moral elasticity as an adolescent. I guess that isn’t that weird or deviant, just expected. Nevermind…

I do have a few other tales under my belt. You are just lucky that I keep secrets WAAAAAAY better than that other little missy who has your same will of steel! You coulda been in so much trouble.

  4. he, he..now we have company and fine company at that. we will have to stop by and say hello.

you know this could get interesting..we could get all sorts of naughty bits of you my sweet, lol…

no, don’t worry, we won’t even try. we love your friendship and know you are an angel..

    hugs.

  5. btw, Brooke made a beautiful plaque.. that looks great and i love what she wrote..now of course i have to be smart and go tell her that, 🙂

  6. sorry, me again..

your post on 9/11 was very nice. thank you for such a wonderful write up of such a horrible happening. i do hope we will never experience anything like that again. that was a horrible day and it’s heavy and for ever will be in all our hearts. we all suffered, no matter what country you are from and for a long while we were united in love and support for one another.

    *******

i had no idea you were sick.i’m sorry. i missed a few of your post because of stuff and fun and in the meantime here you are suffering away. and i don’t even offer you some chicken noodle soup.,sorry..glad you are doing a bit better..you are very strong to go into work so soon..you are truly a dedicated teacher. God Bless you as He certainly has blessed your students.

    lots of love.

  7. Hi Quilldancer

I’ll be stopping by your Niece’s blogs the first chance I get to say hello.

I got your comment about Pauline, I’ve posted today and mentioned you stopped by to advise about Pauline not being able to leave a comment now.

I’ve left the way around getting past the “Segregation” rules “The Blogger N***’s” have set into place if a beta-user is having problems leaving a comment on a Non-Beta blog or vice-versa.

Can you leave a comment on Pauline’s blog for me to let her know I have been visiting but unable to leave a comment.

    Thanks

    Bill

  8. absolutely for not one minute did you hurt me. i should have told you this sooner perhaps. actually what hurt me the most was the straight shot taken to you. i felt sick when she redirected her comment straight to you and it was then that i felt overwhelmed…never, not in one second was it you. i swear. don’t you dare take any responsibility for any one else’s actions. besides your words were not offensive, aggressive or in bad taste. they were your opinion, which btw, i agree with completely and your opinion is always welcomed in my blog. it is never rude, it is never a low blog or attack on other’s. trust me i was ready to quit when i saw how another treated you because i don’t want to be part of anyone hurting you or anyone of my dear friends…so i’m erasing your apology from the comment for there is absolutely no reason to have wrote it. btw, i love you and i thank you. you are a great lady and i am proud to know you.

  9. Dearest sister, Jackie — you know I love you dearly, but I have to say in all honesty, I have NEVER heard anyone use the words sedate, rational or traditional while describing you.

  10. Ah this so cute…….I wish I had some nieces and nephews…..well I also wish I had a sister, I would trade my brother in for a sister anyday of the week…..haha
