Wake Up, It’s Monday

Wake your brain with this:

1.) Today is the 50th birthday of what popular toy?

2.) This, Grandmother of Europe, died on January 22nd after a 63 year reign, the longest in British history.

3.) Thirty-four years ago today the Supreme Court (7-2) passed what controversial ruling that still fuels heated cultural, political & religious debates to date?

4.) What variety show premiered in 1968, and launched the careers of Eileen Brennan, Lily Tomlin, and Goldie Hawn?

Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

all guesses of course. My brain is faulty so I might be remembering those wrong.

  2. Hmmm. I know the answer to #1, but I won’t say it. I had to look it up. Now, does Teacher praise my ability to research difficult questions, or give me an F for cheating??? 😀

  3. HI Quill

I guess I came too late to give my answers. I did guess everyone except #1. To correct Charlie if his answer is correct for number one then we’d have to go all the way back to Adam. 🙂

A wonderful day is wished for you

  4. Charlie, if today is the birthday of every 50 year old man’s penis, I hope he’s wondering why he didn’t have it before the 22nd of January.

  5. Well (now sufficently encouraged), I only said ‘a’ 50 year old man’s penis, not ‘all’ 50 year old men’s penises. All it takes is an understanding that a 50 year old man somewhere has a penis which is a popular toy. I’m sure that must be the case based upon the laws of probability, ‘popularity’ being open to argument. I am not 50, by the way (shame!!!)
