Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. Whoooo whooo! Weren’t you Miss THING! LOL! Had “the parents” known you enjoyed this stuff they woulda made you stay home ya know! hehehe… so what ever happend to ol’ Bob, huh?

  2. Melli — I have no idea whatever happened to Bob. I do hope he’s not still snapping his fingers at girls to get them to dance — or running away after he kisses them.

  3. I loved the story. I loved square dancing. I went to one ona hot summer night. Broke a sweat , sat under a window, and came down with something that almost killed me. I quit square dancing after that.

  4. “Jackie — I appreciae your appreciation of my writing. Unforunately, a cute short story does not a book make.”

I agree with Jackie. And yes it does if it is a collection of short stories. I think they are called “chapters”. 😉 🙂

  5. Brig — that’s my big sister you’ve made your ally! Now, I ask the two of you — who is going to support me while I write this book?

Seriously — thank you, both. I do keep thinking about it, but thought is as far as it seems to get.

  6. Hi Quills big sis!! *waving*

Quills, write a story once a week, just like you would write here. After four months, you have approximately 16 tiny chapters. Spend the next 16 weeks coming up with details that will help you beef it up. I love the stories as they are, but they are a bit small for an entire chapter, and any further details would help bulk it up. Finally arrange it in chronological order and provide some final chapter that provides some sort of closure. Viola! Instant book, just add water.

  7. Actually, I have done that before. I’m more experienced with self-publishing/publishing on demand, but I have a little experience with actual publishing. Besides, I’m not an agent. 😉 You write, and we’ll worry about the publishing bit later.
