Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. Now I know what they’re talking about when nurses complain about bad patients. Sheesh. I’m only passing on what I was taught. That stuff’s gotta move. And you shouldn’t be, until the virus moves on. Hopefully not to this side of the couch.

  2. Lots of fluids…he’s right. He has a degree and he knows how evolution went down…I think you should trust him!

he was probably just trying to catch teh virus too, so he could stay with you on that couch for longer…yes…that must be love!

  3. Flush… flush… flush…
… and away goes trouble down the drain… Roto Rooter!
I guess OC’s got the right idea!
    Here’s some more soup!
Gotta keep your strength up – it takes a lot of energy to get fromt he couch to the bathroom!

  4. I think it’s tough for a scientist when someone else has the more acute objection. That does sound like caretaking to me. Shut up and drink your echinacea tea.

  5. Minka — the power outage kept him here on the couch longer! Yay!

    Brian — comfy.

Melli — I tried to tell OC the bathroom is too far from the couch, but he wouldn’t move it for me.

Doug — so you’re telling me you don’t want to put up with my whining, either?

  6. Sounds like a wonderful head cold…….nothing like them is there…….and no real good remedies out there. Grandma used to drag out the whiskey and lemon. Not sure it worked, but you got so drunk you didn’t care. haha
