I just wanted to stop in to see my favorites before I head out for the week… You and coffee just GO together! What will I do for a whole week without the you part? I will miss you!   3. So, are the people with the traditional brass trumpets the cool ones, or the guys with the white trumpets? I see which side OC is on, but that doesn’t entirely answer the question.

  6. When I was in elementary school I wanted to be in the band and play a trumpet. My family couldn’t afford an instrument and you didn’t rent back then.
    Can hardly wait to see the pics!

  7. We even had a trumpet player at our wedding…that’s how much we like ’em. I’ll bet it’s fabulous when they’re all playing together.

    Mumma — it is called, “Aloha Wear.” They do occasionally have concerts that call for more formal attire, but not outside at noon om a Hawaii summer day!

    Doug — in this band seating means little to nothing. There are a couple of pros in the band and they usually both play the first chair parts. OC usually plays second chair parts, but has played any and all positions. It depends on how many horns are needed.

    Amber — yes. I forget that new people come in and may have missed bits of pieces of my personal history, so they may not understand the context of my posts.

    Carletta — too bad you didn’t know my family! I wanted piano lessons, but was made to play the cornet because my mother played and we already owned the instrument.
