Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. I think you should move “I love you” to maybe a higher position … like at least above the real rock!

Have you already hit Maryland on your visits through the states? I hope not!

I’ll have to do this one — but the last section isn’t going to work too well for me!

  2. Here’s hoping you are writing for that novel and I would think deep sea fishing would be an easy undertaking there in Hawaii.

    I love Janet Evanovich books.

When I was young I saw White Christmas on TV every year. I still love that movie.
May the force be with you Quilly!

  3. Sorry, I don’t have time to wet my pants today. Maybe tomorrow.

And LOL at the rocking to sleep one!!

Don’t forget to come by to enter my giveaway that starts tomorrow!!

  4. Melli — I’ve been to none of the New England States.

Doug — you mean you haven’t read it?!

Carletta — I’m writing, but not successfully! I just can’t seem to identiy with my main characters!

Karen — you don’t have time to laugh? How sad. Give away?

  5. Hey Quilly I’ve just read OC”s story and did the Meme. I hope you get to ride that train and to write that novel.

“May the Farce be with you” Quilly.

  6. you don’t want to know what i say a lot :o)
the things to do sound reasonable and attainable, so… go for them!

  7. if you come here to vist
    you can ride a train

then you can cross two things off your list

  8. Very interesting. On some things we agree but not on books to read.
I will do the meme on Monday but to keep from telling lies I will change the last category. I never watch a movie eight times.

  9. really? you’ve seen eraser 8 times? and the last boy scout? wow. you and i have vastly different requirements for entertainment.

however, we converge on the star wars thing.

i say “okay will you email me a reminder?” a lot. if i don’t get an email reminder, it doesn’t get done. hmmm i should maybe take more computer breaks…

  10. Bill — you did a great job on the meme.

Polona — my word list is edited for a general audience.

Nan — doing #1-7 on my list, pretty much makes certain I’ll never achieve #8. And I can spell, too, but my keyboard likes to make me look bad.

Dr. John — we agree on books to read, too, but the meme asked for THE MOST RECENT.

Holly — I have seen most of Schwarzenegger’s movies too many times. Smash’em, bash’em, kill’em — yeah! I seem to have two categories — romantic comedy or murder and mayhem. You see, True Lies is one of my favorite movies because it manages both!

  11. Ah Princess Bride….I love that movie. There were soo many things on your list that I thought…oooh I want to do that too or read that too. I am glad you plugged through and did the meme. It is fun to learn new things and similarities.

  12. I’ve been saving Fearless Fourteen for a special time to totally enjoy it. This week might be that time…it is going to be over 100F all week. ugh.

We have watched the same movies about the same number of times.

Oh yes…seeing the Northern Lights is on my list of things to see/do before I move on.

  13. I don’t know about the other story, but I almost wet my pants about your list of 8 books! Dracula and the Bible!! 🙂

  14. Jules — I just watched the Princess Bride again this past week. It is my all time feel good movie.

Amber — anytime a new Stephanie Plum story comes out is a good time to read! My love buys them for me the instant they hit the shelves because he knows I love them so. I sit and I laugh out loud and I insist that he listen to parts and read them out loud … and he just grins at how happy I am.

Andrew — problem? Dracula without the Bible would concern me more …

  15. I love this Quilly. It gives so much of “you” – thanks for telling.

You don’t happen to like Star Wars do you?
    Just wondered… :0)

  16. Just read all the bike stuff – you and OC are great writers. But I especially like your style (sorry OC!).
    You are so funny.

  17. Cath — “A New Hope” came out in the movie theaters the summer I graduated from high school. The guy I was dating and I went to it almost every night of it’s run. We got to where we could quote dialog! Those were the days …

  18. Quilly, does anyone watch any movie 8 times? haha, well I suppose I have seen “One Fine Day” at least six…….
