Posted for Jientje’s Photo Challenge called “Opening Doors”
The idea is to post pictures of doors, or details of doors.
It has to be your own picture, no stealing from Mr Google!
That’s the only rule!

Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

Did you know I have this thing with butterflies?
On my Belgian blog, my cursor is a butterfly!
Somebody once commented that butterflies represent reincarnation?

  2. That’s an amazing door! Wow! I can just imagine all the students making arrangements to meet up at ‘you know, the butterfly door!’

    What’s on for tomorrow? Centipedes?

  3. Found it. It’s the “Kamehameha Butterfly (Pulelehua)” by the front door of Gilmore Hall. The (naturally) Entomology Department building. There are three (count ’em, three) maps online, guiding visitors to art displays on the UH Manoa campus.

  4. The Hiwaiians know how to make things colorful! Excellent photo. I hope your dinner has saved your tongue from being bitten!
