Welcome to Three Word Thursday #12. This week, joining the quondam word-list, we have paladin, intransigent, & invidious. We also have a whole list of perspicacious writers.  If you enjoy reading my story, leave a comment then click on the names of the other players and go see how they used the words. You’ll be entertained (and possibly educated) all at once.

Copper Dreams

The  intransigent corpses stood around him in a circle.  Slowly, in unison, each one’s right arms raised.  They pointed at Copper, staring.  Though their lips didn’t move, Copper heard their invidious voices.  Why was he sleeping when they’d not yet been avenged?  He was their paladin.  Why did he rest?  Their killer still lived and even now was likely planning his next murder, yet the paladin slept.  Had they chosen the wrong champion?  Why did this one not fight for them?

One-by-one they stepped forward.  Each of them looked Copper in the eye and asked their question, “When will I be avenged?”

No zombies were harmed in the writing of this post.

Three Word Thursday #13:

Every Thursday I will give you three new words.  You have until the following Thursday to compose a story using all three of the words.  Then, on that following Thursday, post your story.  After you post, come by here and sign in to Mr. Linky.  If you sign in and don’t post a story.  I will delete your link.

    1. I took mine down and rewrote the story, Quilly. I can’t stand poor blog posts, so I took the time I needed to write it properly. Please come over and read the new version and tell me what you think, okay?

      1. Time!!! Oh yes, that’s what I need too.Why are there always so few hours in a day? And why do they go by so fast?
        I have done nothing but write on this story today. That’s good and bad. The good part is I learn. The bad part is my house looks a mess. Oh well.

  6. well, i hope copper finds a soul to help him solve this case, or gets an enlightenment soon
    actually, i can’t make up my mind whether i want the case solved or the story with all the drama and intrigue to continue…
