Welcome to Punny Monday. Every Sunday evening about midnight Hawaii time I post an original photo and ask my readers to figure out what was going on in my brain (or Amoeba’s) when he/I/we made it. Barbara — always go with the first impulse. That is a proven test taking strategy for when one is not certain of the answer.

Doug — I should be! I measured in pinball my first year in college (which explains why there was a 13 year gap between my first year and my second year).
Oooohhh… Doug! I sat there for the longest time this morning, trying to come up with some clever comment.

Susan — I’ve heard rumors that Doug isn’t good for a lot of other things (keep in mind that most of those rumors he started himself) but he can always be counted on for clever!

Tilden — When I was 18, I spent my weight in quarters every week at The Corner Pocket, a pool hall/bar/pinball arcade.

Whoa! I’m surprised! I kept thinking the name or number on the golf ball or whatever it was stuck on (is that gum?) had to have something to do with it and I couldn’t put it all together. I’m glad I sent the first answer that came to mind right away!

Barbara — the gum is there because the ball wouldn’t stay still and Amoeba wouldn’t let me stick the pin in his golf ball. He is not willing to sacrifice everything for art! As to the writing on the ball — I often include extra details. I like to confuse. 😉
The name didn’t bother me at all — but I kept trying to figure out what the green stuff was for! The green stuff was definitely muddlin’ my brain!

Melli — Amoeba reacted to the thought of me poking a pin in the golf ball pretty much the way I would have expected him to react if I’d poked it into him!

Melli — Amoeba says he feared I would hurt myself. Golf balls are made to withstand constant high speed whacking with a solid steel club at about 4 thousand pounds of pressure. He figured that paltry pin would just glance off and poke into me! He was afraid of where it might poke — and probably how much noise I’d make about it. 😉
