Punny Monday #41

Welcome to Punny Monday. Every Sunday evening about midnight Hawaii time I post an original photo and ask my readers to figure out what was going on in my brain (or Amoeba’s) when he/I/we made it.

lady standing on steps while playing the flue

What adjective does this photo represent? EMAIL your answers and leave a comment designed to either help or confuse your fellow game players. The first contestant to EMAIL me the right answer wins a featured link in my blog which will display until next Monday when we’ll play this little game again. Enjoy.

PLEASE, do not write your guess in the comments. It spoils the game for the other players. Your guesses will be shared when the game ends. Oh, and just because someone announces they’ve won, doesn’t mean that they have. Please keep guessing until I post the answers!

CLUE #1

I knew Jo’s hair would distract you.  It’s not relevant.  The fact that she’s standing on steps IS.

  1. Hairy picture, q, can’t find the adequate adjective…Will think about it while walking the streets in Lisbon, where I am right now. And out of the hotel I go, happy Punny Monday!!!! I am letting Mr Mar work the whole day 😀

  2. Well I sent in two guesses and I know they are both wrong as is par for the course. I think I need to go back to basic English and find out what and adjective, noun, verb all that crap is…well at least I’m using that as an excuse this week…Oh wait…I’m in higher altitude..I’ll use that excuse 🙂

    1. English 101 for Thom:

Noun — person, place or thing
Proper Noun — the name of a person place or thing.

      Verb — action word

adverb — word that modifies the verb (tells how the action was done)

adjective — word that modifies a noun (describes the noun)

      1. What the hell does this mean: Highfalutin? Oh never mind…I know…thank goodness I don’t live up in Portlock. Make sure ya email me the english 101 LOL. Congrats Linda 🙂

          1. Doug — I don’t want to label your pun lame, but I am not tall enough to stretch that far. You’d have made the “Bucket” list. 😉

  3. You mean she’s not the Reverend Blue Jeans? I’m fairly clueless and don’t have time to think about it! Jientje and I must LIVE FOR TODAY!!! Adjective???

  4. Not a clue. Even an extra hour of sleep has not wakened my brain, though I thought someone said something in her comments that might without her knowing it be the answer. Looking forward to discovering what your brains were thinking.

  5. pffft… never heard of the word before (and if i did, it was way too obscure to stick to my mind)
serves me right for not being born in an english speaking land

  6. ROFL! CONGRATULATIONS Linda! That was GREAT thinkin’! Adjectives are the hardest ones to get – because they just ARE! THAT was GRAND!!!

  7. oh my, i just checked the answer now. I guessed in an instant, but it isn’t worth staying up all night, much as I LOVE your game!

    ****CONGRATS TO LINDA! ****

  8. LOL about my sleep time. 😉 On that particular night, I fell asleep “early” before 4 a.m. my time. Yes, yes, yes! W. Coast time is reasonable for a midnight W. Coast time posting! I didn’t even think about the time zone difference to the W. Coast upon your move. Oh boy! I have many W. coast blog friends (and free internet word game buds). I SO enjoy your punny mondays, particularly when I’m stumped, which is often!
