  1. Make him sleep elsewhere! In our home, the sick one gets dibs on the comfy bed.
Feel better soon! (One of “Gem’s” annoying attributes is that he snores and I’m such an annoying light sleeper, I wake up if someone so much as breathes.) Needless to say, we have a very comfortable guest room…because zzz’s are essential to everyone.

  2. I’m glad to know that you ate and your fever is down. Go to the doctors. I’ve got some antibiotics…you want them? Dr. Thom…can you imagine that…Dr. John must be cringing at the thought, knows best LOL If you need anything CALL!!!!!!!

  3. Praying for your return to health. Being sick is no fun.

Thom’s true colors (i.e. FRIEND!) are showing. It’s nice to see.

    Blessings, Kelley

p.s. I woke myself up snoring on an airplane once. Now THAT was embarrassing!

  4. I’m sorry to read that you are still sick. Have you already called a doctor? Don’t take risks because health is the most preciuos thing in life as well as love.
Take care and I wish you a quick recovery.
I’m glad you cann’t hear me sore!
    Ivan

  5. ROFL, Quilly, sorry, but the last time I was sick I was doing the same thing! My head was so blocked up that the moment I dropped off, my poor head tried to breathe and snored instead. I had to sleep sitting up eventually, and that wasn’t much better.

I hope you’re getting better and that the weekend sees you back to normal.

  6. ROFLMBO at your commentors!!! This is why I like to READ – not SKIM…. people skim… they miss so much! ROFL! I GOT it Quilly! Have ya tried those Nasal Strips? I use them when I get a cold…

  7. And that is why I now wear a CPAP mask that makes me look like an alien and sound like a Star Wars Storm Trooper!
Although I suppose it would be in the way if I was sick… I haven’t really had to test that yet (knock on wood!!!!)

I do hope you feel better soon.

    Ear plugs??

  8. It’s so annoying when you wake yourself up snoring! LOL

Hope you’re feeling better soon m’dear, I’ll remember you when I’m sending Reiki. x

  9. I “got it” without reading the comments. You are hilarious.

I’ve progressed from Gatorade to tea and light foods today. Still tired, but I guess I’ll venture out to the grocery store. Moms don’t have much time to be sick. . . .

    1. Linda — I had a guest to take on one last sight-seeing trip & deliver to the airport. I did it on trembling legs with a lot of bathroom pit-stops.

  10. Oh you poor baby! I am so sorry. That Ameoba fellow had better be taking real good care of you! HE SHOULD TAKE YOU TO THE DOCTOR or if like us on short notice, to URGENT CARE.

After you get better please go to New Hampsire. Balsam may be alright but I would recommend a nice B&B at Lake Sunapee. We stayed here (I think) We had a quaint little room in front, second floor.

It was early October and was the first stop in a round robing type Fall driving tour of New England and the Montreal area and East Township area of Quebec. We ended in Maine. I do think it was slightly less than two weeks.

It was probably the Candle Light Inn where we stayed. We had the one upstairs room with a bay windo. Everything was real nice there, breakfast to die for!

Dexter’s Inn looks good too, more expensive though.

My kid is just getting over the flu. The single one who went to France, Barcelona, and Bruges with us. He’s your age. He did not go to the doctor but took Niquil at night and Dayquil during the day. It helped his symptoms.

You might like that, the Quils for the Quilly. 🙂

I did read you are alone. I hope the Ameaba fellow stays in the house at night with you. You might need a chaufeer. HE COULD COOK YOU SOME CHICKEN SOUP when you think it might stay down.

      1. Jim — Amoeba comes home from work every night and calls to check on me during the day. He even offered to stay home from the office but I told him I didn’t need him to watch me sleep. Your inn looks lovely.

  11. I got it too without the comments – but I love the comments. Got me ROFL.

Hope you get to sleep and that snoring doesn’t waken you. I blame the cats. 🙂

  12. I have “allegedly” started snoring recently, for some reason. I think my husband is lying through his teeth about it though. And my two daughters. That can’t be the reason my mouth and throat are parched in the morning either… 😉

My husband and both daughters talk (full conversations), moan, and giggle in their sleep though, and my oldest used to sleep walk (imagine her, at 7 years old, chasing a snowball through the living room yelling “GET IT GET IT GET IT” at the top of her lungs, or climbing the scary rock wall located in her clothes closet at 8 years old) so I don’t feel *too* bad!

Glad you’re on the mend Quilly!
