Sherrilyn Kenyon, Author of “The League”

Sherrilyn Kenyon is a talented author with an incredible imagination. She creates compelling characters in complex worlds and writes stories that keep readers on the edge of their seats.  Sherrilyn Kenyon earned her first recognition as a writer in third grade when she penned an essay in honor of her mother; she made her first professional sale at age 14; and  is credited for being one of the pioneers of Urban Fantasy.  Writing was her only career choice and she pursued it relentlessly while working many other jobs to help support her family.

From her website:
#1 New York Times bestselling author, Sherrilyn Kenyon lives a life of extraordinary danger… as does any woman with three sons, a husband, a menagerie of pets and a collection of swords that all of the above have a major fixation with. But when not running interference (or dashing off to the emergency room), she’s found chained to her computer where she likes to play with all her imaginary friends. With more than twenty million copies of her books in print, in over thirty countries, she certainly has a lot of friends to play with too. [more]

With over 20 million copies of her books in print in 30+ countries, I think it is safe to say that Sherrilyn Kenyon’s childhood dream has become reality, however it wasn’t easily achieved.  You can find Sherrilyn’s biography on her website.  Reading it will give you a glimpse into the psyche that created the complex worlds and characters of “The League.”

Born of Ice is the third and final book in The League series.  I don’t know about you, but I am liking these so much I wish they wouldn’t end.  Still, whatever is next on the Kenyon horizon, I am positive it will be a good read.

You may also know Sherrilyn Kenyon as Kinley MacGregor.  You can follow Sherrilyn on Twitter, Facebook, and My Space.  Links to these sites and her fan club & newsletter can be found below the “author” tab on her website: Sherrilyn Kenyon.  You can also read an excerpt of Born of Ice there.  So what are you still doing here?  Go check it out!

  1. The Dark-Hunter series is my favorite. I think I’m completely up-to-date on those. They are very sexy and the stories are great. I’ve read some of the others: Dream-Hunter, a couple Lords of Avalon, one BAD and one MacAllister’s. I got a little over loaded so I haven’t read any since Acheron which was really great.

    1. Thanks, Nessa. Maybe I’ll head that way next. My reading stack is towering with books I have to review. I’m not sure there’s room for “want to reads” right now!
