Okay, this is going to shock some of you, but I grew up a fight fan. I loved to sit at my father’s knee and watch the old time boxing events. If anybody is wondering what to get me for Christmas, how about Mayweather boxing tickets? This is shaping up to be a “gotta see” event!
Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are facing off in what promises to be the fight of the century. A mythical title is at stake, but both Mayweather and Pacquiao want to be known as the Greatest Pound for Pound Fighter in the World, and they’re going to duke it out for that privilege.
Mayweather is an “old-school” boxer. He was literally taught “the ropes” by his father, Floyd Mayweather, Sr., a former welter-weight boxing contender, and his uncle, Roger Mayweather, a former WBA Super Featherweight Champion. “Money” Mayweather (also known as “Pretty Boy”) has an impressive record: 40 Wins (25 knockouts, 15 decisions), 0 Losses, 0 Draws.
Manny Pacquiao, also known as Pac-Man, the Fighting Pride of the Philippines and The Mexicutioner, also has an impressive record: 50 Wins (38 knockouts, 12 decisions), 3 Defeats (2 by knockout, 1 by decision), 2 Draws. He has more TKOs than Mayweather, but he’s also suffered 3 defeats and two draws.
Who’s your money on?
