Ask Not for Whom the Meme Tags; It Tags for Thee!

Linda at Mocha with Linda didn’t tag me with this, I just jumped up and took it.  Since I stole it, I am not obligated to tag anybody, but I will leave 7 questions at the end in case you feel inspired to tag yourself.

Linda gave me these seven questions:

1. Do you prefer to read the book or see the movie?
I prefer to read the book of course! Movies never seem to live up to the written story.

2. What is your favorite holiday and why?
Easter — because without Easter, there would be no reason to celebrate Christmas — or much of anything else.

3. Which do you like better – the mountains or the beach?
I like both the mountains and the beach and — joy of joys — San Juan Island here in Puget Sound supplies me with both. I love it here!

4. If money were no consideration, what vehicle would you drive?
Most likely an SUV. Not a big fancy bling SUV, but a real working model. I had a Chevy Blazer for a month (on loan). I loved it.

5. What is your favorite cold-weather beverage?
Hot tea. I love our local Market Spice Tea (from Pike Place Market in Seattle), but pretty much any hot tea will do when it is cold outside and I need warming up. I am also fond of Mocha Lattes, but I drink them year round so they don’t really count for the “spirit” of this question.

6. How do you communicate most often with your friends: phone, email, text, face-to-face?
Blog? Actually, it depends on where my friends are. Different forms fit different folks.

7. How do you receive your mail? Mailbox on the porch, at the end of the driveway, down the street, or post office box?
Our mail is delivered to a “cluster” box at the end of the street. Often I get packages or mail too big for the box left on my front porch.

My seven questions for you:

1. If you were alone with Obama and could ask him one question, what would it be?
2. Tell us about your toothbrush and toothpaste.
3. Which room in your house do you spend the most time in — why?
4. What article of clothing do you detest but wear anyway — why?
5. What favorite food from your childhood would you refuse to eat if you were given some today?
6. Chances are good that you got blamed and punished for doing something you didn’t do when you were a kid. What was it, and was your innocence ever proven?
7. Why did you decide to answer these questions?

  1. 2. I use an Oral B “Vitality” (Braun® ) electric toothbrush. My usual toothpaste is Arm & Hammer® Complete Care (with Baking Soda and Peroxide)

  2. 1. Why did you want this job?
    2. Sensodyne, because my teeth are sensitive.
    3. My office because that’s where my computer is.
    4. My bra. Costricting.
    5. Too hard. I can’t think of any food that I don’t like any more.
    6. I can’t think of anything… or maybe I don’t want to.
    7. I guess I decided to do this because it was fun!

  3. Loved reading your answers! And I’m glad you played along. I almost tagged you but thought you didn’t do tags.

Your seven new questions are great. I almost asked a question about toothpaste!

I’m impressed your mailman/lwoman puts things on your porch instead of leaving a slip in the box to make you pick it up at the post office.

  4. 1. If you were alone with Obama and could ask him one question, what would it be?
    Really really don´t know.
    2. Tell us about your toothbrush and toothpaste.
The toothbrush is not too soft and not too hard. The toothpaste is of the gel kind, with a minty flavor.
    3. Which room in your house do you spend the most time in — why?
The bedroom. It´s where I sleep at least 8 hours a day.

    4. What article of clothing do you detest but wear anyway — why?
Socks. My feet get cold, so I have no choice.

    5. What favorite food from your childhood would you refuse to eat if you were given some today?
    Soup.

    6. Chances are good that you got blamed and punished for doing something you didn’t do when you were a kid. What was it, and was your innocence ever proven?
I got blamed for many things I didn´t do, because I was kind of the black sheep with my mother, but luckily I´m a person who forgets those moments quickly. So I really don´t remember.

    7. Why did you decide to answer these questions?
I love answering questions and yours were great.

    Have a good day Quilly!

  5. I answered Linda’s because she volunteered them for the Random Dozen today. Great answer to #2.

In answer to your questions: 1. I have no idea. I’d have to think about thet one some more.
    2. Sensodyne. because my teeth are sensitive; a pink toothbrush so none of my guys accidentally uses it.
    3. Aside from the time spent sleeping, the room where my computer is.
    4. Hmm — bra, maybe, (obvious reasons!) or coat. — it’s heavy and bulky, but does keep me warm.
    5. Ice cream, since I’ve become lactose intolerant. 🙁
    6. It’s a long story, and no. 🙁
    7. For fun — though I guess my answers to the last two weren’t fun!

  6. 1. If you were alone with Obama and could ask him one question, what would it be?
I’m a curious chap so one question isn’t enough, but I’ll try. How about, each president leaves a letter in the desk of the Oval Office for the next president. What did the letter say President Bush left you?

    2. Tell us about your toothbrush and toothpaste.
It’s red, and the toothpaste I use is from Mexico.

    3. Which room in your house do you spend the most time in — why?
Living room. I can write, watch television, and take a nap on the couch.

    4. What article of clothing do you detest but wear anyway — why?
All of them. I hate doing laundry. No, I don’t run the streets naked because I don’t want to overrun the emergency room with people who have an unexplained desire to vomit.

    5. What favorite food from your childhood would you refuse to eat if you were given some today?
Peas. My scientific studies show they are carcinogenic.

    6. Chances are good that you got blamed and punished for doing something you didn’t do when you were a kid. What was it, and was your innocence ever proven?
Hmmm….was it the time the PE teacher lied to me about my “lost” clothes so he could give me a “hack?”

    7. Why did you decide to answer these questions?
Because the author of this blog is a very good friend and I try, don’t always succeed, to support my friends.

  7. 1. what do you really think of your fellow americans
    2. they’re in the bathroom
    3. as if i have a choice… the whole thing is basically one room
    4. nylons, i guess
    5. i was extremely picky as a child so i guess none
    6. surely, but i buried my choldhood memories too deep to dig out one such case just like that
    7. because i could (more or less)

  8. Well… I answered Linda’s questions for Random Dozen this week…

My immediate response upon reading YOUR #1 question is… “What the HELL are you DOING???” … but that’s not serious… I would have to think about it. I might answer them in a few days!

You DO have the best of both worlds there, don’t you?!
