Quilldancing Assignment #2

Your Writing Assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to write a complete story in 500 words or less using the scenario below to kick-start your thinking. Publish your story on your blog January 15th, then come back here and link it to my February 15th story.

February is the month of love. Your prompt requires only that you write a love story. Fashion it as you will, and remember there are many kinds of love.

    1. Barbara — I planned some specific topics and some broad topics to allow every one a change to create in his/her preferred way. I tend to agree that having a few more details can spark a story idea in me when a broader topic sometimes doesn’t.

    Hey, Quilly, you mean February 15th? 🙂 This sounds like a fun assignment. Will it be an on-going writing type meme? If I do this I will post day it like you do your Monday Puns.

    1. Jim — see what happens when one copies and pastes without proof reading? Sigh. I have been having a lot of headaches lately and wanted to get on and off the computer before the pain erupted again.

        Don’t worry, I think that everyone was thinking February all the time. Goodness knows that I am the King of Mistakes, for various reasons that I don’t want to talk about.
        I was just wondering, does WordPress allow you to come back to make changes? Blogger does.

        I’m kinda sorry that I missed your first one about roller skating. I met my first wife on roller skates.
        We skated a lot, mainly because her father thought that was a safe place for her to go. We had a nice rink in Lincoln, Nebraska. It had an organ and organist to play skating music for us. Requests too.
        I still roller skate with the grandkids once in a while. Never have I been on ice skates. They scare me.

        1. Jim — I think I need a new prescription for my glasses. Then all will be well. In the meantime, I have made the font on my computer bigger and moved the monitor forward on my desk.

  7. I almost forgot about this, then all of a sudden remembered to come have a lookie at what is due 15 February. My mind is thinking about Blanche and her love story.
