FREE Coca-Cola Collectible Medallions

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of iCoke.ca. All opinions are 100% mine.

Coke is currently the only soda in our house. Amoeba drinks at least one per day and usually prefers it with his lunch.  I wonder, once we finish our move, if I can convince him to go across to Sydney daily and buy his lunch and two Cokes in B.C.?  Sure the ride across Puget Sound and back is longer than his lunch hour, but the ferries have tables, electrical plug-ins and wifi, so he can use the time to catch up on his paperwork, record all the notes from his procedures, & update his records on whatever he’s currently growing in his sea water tables and/or petri dishes.  In fact, buying his lunch at a Macs in Canada every day might make him even more productive.  It’s not like his co-workers could pop in and out to distract him.

To understand why I want Amoeba to visit B.C. everyday to buy his soda, you have to be old enough to remember Coca-Cola’s, “Things Go Better With Coke” ads. I first started watching TV in that era and the slogan has never left me. Things do go better with Coke — even the Olympics! Right now, exclusively at Mac Stores, with the purchase of two 591 mL Coca-Cola products, you will receive a FREE Coca-Cola Collectible Medallion. I figure the best way for me to collect them all is to have Amoeba cross the Sound everyday at lunch time.

In order to qualify for the free medallions, both Coca-Cola products must be purchased at the same time. The promotion will be valid at participating Mac’s locations from January 4th, 2010 through February 28th, 2010 (January 6th, 2010 through March 2nd, 2010 in Quebec and Atlantic provinces) and is subject to availability. If you want yours, you’d better get a move on!

  1. Hmmmm… I still don’t get why he would have to travel to B.C. to get it… do they not SELL Coke in Fridays Harbor? Or is it just the idea of having to buy two and you would go with??? I must be bein’ a little dense today…. I dunno… please spell it out for me…? LOL!

  2. Melli,

Mac stores are exclusive to Canada, and the Coca-Cola Medallion offer is exclusive to Mac Stores.

The promotion will be valid at participating Mac’s locations from January 4th, 2010 through February 28th, 2010 (January 6th, 2010 through March 2nd, 2010 in Quebec and Atlantic provinces) and is subject to availability.

    1. Karen — I can’t see him going for just for a Cola, but we have made the trip a couple of times for other reasons. If we happen to stop and buy a couple of Cokes, I’ll try to keep your request in mind.

  3. My husband works for Coke… you wouldn’t believe the stuff we DON’T get. 😛 Actually, they’re a great company to work for, and treat their employees well, but depending on what division you’re in, you probably don’t see much in the way of promo items. We don’t even get free Coke!

I think the ferry up to BC on a daily basis might be a little tough on the ol’ wallet, Quilly. 😉 But for sure next time I’m in BC if I have time to get down your way I’ll drop you a line and maybe we can get together for lunch or something.
