Sensational Haiku Wednesday ~ Challenge
Jenn from, You Know … that blog?,
hosts Sensational Haiku Wednesday. This week’s theme is:
Challenge
Constantly behind.
Running as fast as I can.
I’m getting closer.
~*~
My dear reader, Jenn had a haiku challenge today with a fabulous $25.00 prize for the blogger who could get the most people to join Sensational Haiku Wednesday. I am posting far too late to even hope to make it in the running, but if you’d like to make me $25.00 richer, by all means, post a haiku on your blog before midnight tonight, link up to Jenn’s blog with the great graphic above, and be sure to tell her that I sent you. Thanks!

Hope you win…if not, at least you’ll get a chuckle.

Thanks, Kelley — this wasn’tyour first time playing though so you won’t count!
.
Or better yet, say ‘Jim sent me.’ 🙂 [See: http://jimmiehov6.blogspot.com/2010/06/he-threw-gauntlet-to-take-up-his.html for my invitation.] I am an honorable mention with two votes so far. You can vote for Jenn if you wish. She is towards the top of the running.
But really, snce this is Quilly’s blog, vote for her. Unless you come from my blog, then you could vote for each of us. 🙂
..
Hrm, maybe “voting” is the way I’ll go next time, Jim 😉 This challenge did not allow me to give anything away! I’m bummed! Not a single newbie joined us. Ah well…
.
Oh yes, voting with your pen by writing a haiku first. I probably was the last one to join a couple of weeks ago? Nessa 🙂 sent me that time.
..
Jenn — perhaps you’ve saturated the market?
Jim — you come here and try to steal my peoples …. I am shocked!
Meeeeeeeee toooooo! 🙂
Melli — plus I have an owie and the constant pain just saps my strength and will.
Your haiku describes my life right now! Just when I think I am getting caught up, more and more things come up!
CL — that is the nature of life in general, yes?
I love you haiku but my final line would be: not getting closer.
Kay — I come closer on some days than I do on others.
Haiku?
Gesundheit!
Linda — thank you.
Life in the fast lane…the only way to be 🙂
O`ahu has a fast lane? Where?!?
😉
Thom — answer Amoeba! I want to know, too!
Blah, I fear I’ll never catch up. Why are you always writing about MY life, anyway?? 😉
Love it!
Jenn — you may take your life back at any time. I need some rest!
Your haiku is perfect for me, too.
Unfortunately, it is well after midnight and my brain is fried.
Karen — go to bed!
i feel the same way… constantly behind. i hope i can also say “i’m getting closer” but then, i even missed jenn’s deadline. i still posted though. better late than never, right? 🙂
great haiku!!!
Pink Lady — I have to agree with “better late than never” since that’s how I seem to live these days!
Ladies, are we all in agreement that the word “Challenge” seems to have an affect on male
testosterone levels?
Karen — the word, no. The male response to the issuing of a challenge, yes.
This haiku is so me, unless the minute I feel like getting closer another task will get in the way. Have a wonderful day 🙂
Rosidah — Yes! I think we should quit finishing tasks since new ones crop up just at the end of the old ones! 😉
What a great thread of comments! I laughed all the way through! 🙂
MMT — my comments section is often much more fun than the original blog post!
you don’t want to know about my work days lately…
had i seen this on time i might have helped you…
I feel that way this week — just got back from TN. When I stop to think about everything that needs to be done before moving — I stop thinking about it. 🙂
