Punny Monday 11.04.18
Welcome to Punny Monday. This is a fun little guessing game meant to spark your imagination and tickle your punny bone. Every Monday I post an original photo and ask my readers to figure out what was going on in my brain (or Amoeba’s) when he/I/we made it. Posting time varies so every time zone occasionally gets a fair shot at being first to see the game.
Here is the image you need to base your guess on:
What noun does this photo represent? EMAIL your answers and leave a comment designed to either help or confuse your fellow game players. The first contestant to EMAIL me the right answer wins a featured link in my blog which will display until next Monday when we’ll play this little game again. Enjoy.
PLEASE, do not write your guess in the comments. It spoils the game for the other players. Your guesses will be shared when the game ends. Oh, and just because someone announces they’ve won, doesn’t mean that they have. Please keep guessing until I post the answers!

Did you write that damn R on the bulb to throw us off? Hmmm
No, Thom. I wrote it on the bulb because it is part of the pun.
Well duh!!!! LOL
Well, I thought I should tell you since you didn’t include it in your guess.
How the hell do you get Water out of a light bulb with an R? Oh wait Watt pffft….You and Charley must have left your abstract brains on the East Coast LOL
It has been a rough weekend here. My brain is refusing to think, which just adds to my feeling that it has been a crappy weekend. I always enjoy the challenge, though, even when I get frustrated. Thanks.
Raven — this one was harder than even our harder ones!
It’s 1am but I think I’ve got it… which would be amazing because I couldn’t remember friends’ names at church this morning!
Karen — brilliant! (pun intended) You won!
Must be all the light bulbs I’ve been replacing lately… I’ve read a lot of wattage requirements, and this was easier than trying to see the tiny writing on the threads of the light bulbs!
Apparently, I’m smarter at 1am than I am at 10am. 😉
.
This is hard unless except for those who know the answer. I’ll try one. Thank you.
Oh yes, now what is a noun? It’s been a while since I played. Glad you’re back! 🙂
..
.
I think the “R” must be very significant. Like a ‘Scarlet Letter’ only not an “A?”
..
.
And not RED! 🙂
..
Jim — yes, the R is significant and not red.
I have taken a very wild guess.
Mumma — I just wish I had thought of your answer!
Obviously the light bulb is not coming on in my brain.
Linda — so this one didn’t light up your life?
Amoeba is all wet with this one.
Shocking, I know. Good thing it wasn’t plugged in.
Linda — what’er you talking about? 😉
No light bulb for me!
MZ — I hate being in the dark!
I first looked at this about 6 a.m. No idea then and none now. Looking forward to seeing what it is.
Spoke too soon — one idea just came to mind, but if it is right, it is late! Oh well.
Barbara — your answer makes perfect sense, but it wasn’t what I was looking for, alas.
I’m glad I am not the only one who came up with my answer. But I love Mumma’s!! Congrats to Karen.
I’ve been gone all day but I sent a wild guess just in case it was right. 🙂
Glad you made it safely home!
Carletta — I loved your wild guess, but — alas — it wasn’t what I was looking for. You made it in just under the wire!
Sorry, painting all day. But I would NOT have guessed this! Amoeba is too clever for me. As usual. 😉
Kelley — he has his bright moments.
.
Water, a ’60-watter’ at that. 🙂
Quilly, did you guess it? Amoeba got clever in Boston!
But the bulb looks terrible. But waht happened to that bulb?
..
Jim — I didn’t have to guess, this one “evolved” from a conversation we were having about what to do for Punny Monday. The word came from me, and the idea of a lightbulb and an R came from Amoeba.
Ha! I almost won!
Tilden — now you’ve just got to be faster!
