Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

Good for Amanda. I would have guessed some kind of plant.
Congrats Amanda. I’d have never have guessed that.
Wow…good job, Amanda!
Good job Amanda!
Awwe. I was so close. Good job Amanda!
Congrats. Amanda! I had no idea.
It still looks like seaweed to me. Pffft Congrats Amanda.
Thom, it is an animal. not a plant! And those spikes don’t look at all seaweed-y. Have you had your vision checked lately?
.
Good for you, Amamnda! 🙂
..
Cool meme and I love the world tenebrous… Props to Amanda for being the first winner.
By the way – that was a flicker on my post. There are more of them this year than I have ever seen and some other birds I don’t recognize but haven’t been able to get on camera.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these creatures so up close!
Wooooot! I knew I would win at something someday!! 😀
