Tenebrous Tuesday #3

Tenebrous
shadowy; dark; obscure;
difficult to see or comprehend clearly

Introducing yet another photo game. I am not promising this one will be long lived. I guess it depends on how well you all take to it — and how much fun we’re having. For the next few weeks (already scheduled) a photo will go up at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday and you are all invited to tell me what you think it is. Feel free to leave your guesses in the comments.

This week’s challenge is:

The answer will be revealed on midnight Wednesday so those folks who guessed correctly can gloat. That’s the best I can do for prizes, sorry.

Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. Yep, looks like Mar already has the answer with sea urchin shell.
    Just glancing at the photo it looks plastic though. 🙂

  2. I concur — a sea urchin shell, or at least some kind of shell. From a distance it looks like something knitted but closer up it looks like a shell.

    1. Also from a distance it looks like those old glass lamps or vases with bumps on them. But I still think it is a shell.

  3. Can we guess more than once? Not sure, but as I thought it looked plastic I’m thinking it could be the bottom of a shoe of some sorts.

  4. Awww…. everybody has already guessed what I thought. Some kind of seashell. I have no idea what kind though.
