Contemplating Bathrooms

See that bathtub on the left over there? We have one. It is in our new home. The home we aren’t living in.  The bathtubs here in University housing leave a lot to be desired.  In fact, I was just dreaming about remodeling the place.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I am very grateful to be here and my accommodations really are quite nice.  In fact, with just a little TLC, these apartments could be showcase units.  Each unit has an incredible deck or patio and the views are fantastic.

My primary complaint is with the kitchen and the bathroom — most especially the bathroom vanities.   These units have been around for a long time and they’ve seen a lot of use. The bathroom counters are stained and chipped.

The bathroom sink is what started my remodeling bent though. Because of the design of the sink and the ancient, sticky faucet, whenever I turn the water on, it comes blasting out, hits the bottom of the bowl, then shoots up the fronte and soaks my shirt. Because the faucet sticks I really have to crank to turn it, which means easing the water on slowly is near impossible.

So, I wish I was rich. I really do love these apartments and it would make me happy to be able to give every one of them a bit of a face lift, especially the bathrooms.
