  1. I know those are peas. I think those blue things are ear plugs. That’s about all I’ve got. And I’ve actually been trying to get this for the last hour.

  2. Dr. John — flashes of brilliance are better than none at all.

    Bazza — ear plugs

Jane — you must constantly channel Wayne Newton, “So close, so close and yet so far!”

Melli — LOL! I know why this was a struggle for you ….

Capsun — and how many times in that hour did you wish it was quiet so you could think? 😉

Carletta — not so hard, really.

Jules — well, you’re correct, sort of ….

  3. Alice — CONGRATS!

Melli — see, all your hysterics and you still came up with the winning answer — too late.

Bazza — Thank you. I’ll hold that suggestion for future reference. Didn’t you have a guess for this photo?

    Jane — see comment above!

Jientje — if those peas looked blue, you might want to check the color balance on your monitor!

Shelly — brilliant guess! I love it. In fact, I love it so much I wish I’d have thought of it.

  4. LOL… thank you Quilly!! I finally got one! When they are posted at 12am Hawaii time, it’s 3am my time, so I am often off line by then (trying real hard to change from the night owl I am). Last night I was working away and suddenly realized it was a couple minutes after 3… “Punny Monday! YES!” so I rushed on over. It took a few minutes of thought, then the little light popped on.

  5. Well Quilly… I’m always LATE! Good grief… I’d have to stay up ALL NIGHT to get it when it comes out! And IF by chance I sleep IN a wee bit — then I’m really SUNK!!! But I’m happy! I came up with it! Without even a clue… YAY!

  6. I am really late, but it makes no difference becuase I had no idea until I looked at the winning answer. I thought the ear plugs were the little rubber thing you put on your third finger when sorting papers.

  7. The secret to this thing is knowing what is there. Betty thought the two blue things were the things you put on your finger to go through papers and I thought they were two pieces of chalk. If you see the picture wrong. You can’t get the answer right.

  8. I looked at that, thought and thought and got nothing. And then I looked at the winning answer and couldn’t believe I hadn’t seen it myself. And that is what I do every week…

  9. Jientje — got it!

Alice — congrats. Don’t tke so long to win again.

Melli — why, when folks get it, do they say “without a clue?” The picture is a clue — otherwise you’d never know what I’m thinking!

Betty — I knew some people might not recognize the ear plugs.

Dr. John — there is no way I am responsible for how anyone else’s brain does or doesn’t work!

Holly — :O Sorry to hear that. I bet you were, too! :/

Shelly — Melli says late is better than never.

Cindy — well, at least you’re consistent. 😉

  10. phew, unless i can snatch a few minutes at lunch break i can’t even connect to the internet before 10 p.m.(as if it makes any difference – i never guess anything anyway)

btw, midnight hawaii time is 11 a.m. here

  11. The REASON we say “without a clue” is because sometimes when we are all being REALLLLLLLLLY dumb you GIVE us EXTRA clues! So I guess I should (technically) have said without an EXTRA clue! Sheeeeeeesh!
