    1. You kept straining until you got it. Here’s a clue for future reference — it will always be a real word.

    1. No. And if you did guess them all, after three you’d be getting a letter telling you you’d been suspended for a week!

    1. Kitty — what part of don’t answer in the comments did you not understand? [shakes head] Cats can always be depended on to misbehave.

    1. Barbara — Amoeba and I usually make them together, so I see no reason you two can’t solve them together.

      1. Weighty? Weighty you say? PFFFT. Bogus…Oh now I see it a cup of tea on a scale…I still say PFFFT…and no tea wont stimulate anything as abstract as this weeks Punny Monday Ooops where are my manners…probably floating around in that cup of tea someplace. Congrats to the winners. Polona great job being first 🙂

    1. Melli — don’t you hate it when the net is down? Even if I get a trillion useful things done while waiting, I begrudge them all!

    1. Melli — I do believe he saw the picture and took a guess without reading the directions. Kitties are like that.

    1. You came in just under the wire. I was about to post the answers when I saw I had mail — you and my sister just squeaked in.

    1. Of course. Now that it’s obvious one sees that it couldn’t possibly be anything else! (Although I was rather fond of Thumbelina’s “Tea Total”.

      1. Aww thank you! I was getting desperate at that stage, wanting FOR ONCE to get it right. So I was thinking I needed a drink and… (even though I knew it maybe didn’t count as an adjective but then again, neither did half my other answers! lol)

        Thumbelina’s last blog post..Cherry Blossom – Today’s Flowers

  1. Very late, am pretty sure I don’t have it!!! I keep forgeting to look, not that it makes any difference since I don’t get it anyway! Fun to check out though and I do enjoy reading the comments when I take the time. XOXOOXO C

  2. yay! whenever you say difficult, my two brain cells seem to put in some extra effort.
it’s the easy ones i’m concerned about – i never get those. pft

    1. Polona Juliana — don’t worry. Most of us know that the two of you are really one and we love each of you!

  3. oh, i don’t know… i used to learn french in grammar school but became totally frustrated by the slow and difficult progress (it’s a terribly complicated language – to me at least). it remained a challenge, though, and when opportunity arose i signed in for a course. the progress is still slow and toilsome but at least i can now understand some basics. the whole thing is paid by my employer – which is great but it also means i have to show results. pft

well, i get along in serbia and croatia (we all used to be yugoslavia so that came pretty natural), and i’m fluent in english… and that’s about it.

i understand – but not speak – a few basic phrases in german and italian, though – but not nearly enough to claim passive knowledge

      1. why thank you very much, thumbelina 🙂
the problem is, i have a pretty good understanding of the written language but when it comes to speaking… oh well…

    1. Dr. John — you don’t have to get her up earlier — just don’t let her go to the bathroom or start the coffee or anything until after she’s answered!

    1. Betty — you had the right answer. And you’d best check out what your husband is plotting because you might soon be getting less sleep!
