    • Melli — don’t you hate it when the net is down? Even if I get a trillion useful things done while waiting, I begrudge them all!

    • You came in just under the wire. I was about to post the answers when I saw I had mail — you and my sister just squeaked in.

    • Of course. Now that it’s obvious one sees that it couldn’t possibly be anything else! (Although I was rather fond of Thumbelina’s “Tea Total”.

  1. Very late, am pretty sure I don’t have it!!! I keep forgeting to look, not that it makes any difference since I don’t get it anyway! Fun to check out though and I do enjoy reading the comments when I take the time. XOXOOXO C

  2. oh, i don’t know… i used to learn french in grammar school but became totally frustrated by the slow and difficult progress (it’s a terribly complicated language – to me at least). it remained a challenge, though, and when opportunity arose i signed in for a course. the progress is still slow and toilsome but at least i can now understand some basics. the whole thing is paid by my employer – which is great but it also means i have to show results. pft

well, i get along in serbia and croatia (we all used to be yugoslavia so that came pretty natural), and i’m fluent in english… and that’s about it.

i understand – but not speak – a few basic phrases in german and italian, though – but not nearly enough to claim passive knowledge

    • Dr. John — you don’t have to get her up earlier — just don’t let her go to the bathroom or start the coffee or anything until after she’s answered!

    • Betty — you had the right answer. And you’d best check out what your husband is plotting because you might soon be getting less sleep!
