Tis the season to be stretched thin fa la la la la la la la pft!
Sunday mornings we wake, run around frantically getting ourselves together, and then race out the door for church, where Amoeba sits for an hour and twiddles his thumbs while I teach Sunday School. Â Afterward we attend church. Â After that Amoeba attends choir practice and I sit and twiddle my thumbs.
From 1:30 to 3:15 we are free to do whatever — but since it is at least a 30 minute drive home (and a 30 minute drive back) there is no point in returning home. Â This week we went to a local restaurant, had some lunch, and chatted.
At 3:15 Amoeba returns to church for Praise Band rehearsal — which runs to 4:45. Â The Praise & Prayer Service is at 5:00 p.m., after which we attend fellowship time (church dinner). Â So, Sundays we leave home at 8:30 a.m. and do not return until about 8:15 p.m.
Today — Monday — I had to go into the Employment Office and wrestle with them over my unemployment claim.  The computer keeps cancelling me and no one seems to know why.  I could hazard a guess since I have been unemployed since September (9weeks) yet have only received pay for 5).  Kicking people out of the system for no reason keeps the money in the state coffers longer, doesn’t it?
After my tangle with The Labor Department (I have to return tomorrow and start the whole process over) I decided I deserved a treat, so I took myself to the Northside where they were supposed to experience record waves. Â Yep — I took my camera with me. Â Stay tuned for more shots.
In the meantime, I hope you understand why you didn’t hear from me today, and why Punny Monday completely skipped my mind. Â I had a good one, too, so we’re going to have a Tuesday Edition of Punny Monday. Â It’ll be up at 11:59 p.m.!
