The One Year Devotions for PreSchoolers 2
Tyndale House Publishers sent me a complimentary copy of The One Year Devotions for PreSchoolers 2, written by Carla Barnhill; and illustrated by Elena Kucharik. This is an exciting book! The quality of the devotions and illustrations are top-notch.
The One Year Devotions for PreSchoolers 2 is a hardback book printed with the same heavy-weight, glossy-finish pages you have come to expect in quality adult devotionals. Â This devotional was made to last — in both a physical and spiritual sense. Â As you go through the 365 daily devotions with your child instilling God’s eternal values in his or her heart, this book will endure the frequent holding and page turning of little hands. Â (Please click on the photo. Â It will expand so you can read the devotions.) Â This book is part of Tyndale’s highly successful Little Blessings series.
At what age should you start training your child to love and follow Jesus? Â The best time to begin is before the child is conceived and everyday thereafter. Â This book, written and illustrated for 3 to 6 year-olds will help you instill a regiment of daily Bible reading (each devotion includes scripture), contemplation and prayer. Â There is also a little rhyme you and your child can learn together which will help bring the lesson home and commit it to your son’s or daughter’s memory.
The author: Carla Barnhill is the former editor of Christian Parenting Today magazine. Â She also served as Associate Editor of Campus Life magazine. Carla is now a freelance editor and writer. Â Her knowledge on the spiritual formation of children’s education is sought after by thousands of mothers at MOPS conventions, women’s retreats, and churches around the country. Â Carla, her husband, and their three children make their home in Minnesota.
The illustrator: Elena Kucharik is the creator of the Care Bears characters that were so highly popular in the 1980s. She illustrates all the Little Blessings books. She and her husband live in Connecticut.  They raised two daughters and have three grandchildren.

This sounds like a good book, Quilly. I miss those complimentary books from the reps now that I’m retired. Come to think of it, now that I’m retired the library people seem to want their books back on time. I miss keeping them a bit longer.
..
Jim — check the links on my left sidebar. You can still get complimentary copies. All you have to do is blog about them.
OH WOW! I LOVE that book too! And I’ve only read those two pages. And IF I had access to Luz EVERY DAY I would ask to be in it… but since I don’t… I’ll hope that just the right person gets it!
Melli — yes, I would love to keep the book it is so wonderful, but it deserves to be used for God’s glory.
i hope it goes in the right hands
Polona — as do I.
Is everyone out Christmas shopping, that you don’t have lots of entries?? This is a great little book.
I didn’t mention before because you’ve been too generous to me already from the 12 days of Christmas … but I do have a pre-schooler, sooooo, put me in the drawing please! My kids love books; I think I’ve passed on my library gene threefold.
Susan — you just might get it by default!
Susan —
No matter how often you win, if I am giving it away and you’re interested, sing up! My blog is wholly self-supporting. With my paid posts I earn the money for things like package postage, and this book came to me 100% free from Tyndale House Publishers.
I only wish I lived closer: could I possibly be farther away from Hawaii without leaving the planet?? I can’t imagine what the postage would be for a hardcover book. Thank heavens for alternate (American!) addresses, and for being there again in a few months!
Oh Quilly, I would love to have that book for our 2 year old grand daughter. She LOVES books and this would be wonderful for her. Her mommy and daddy are teaching her about Jesus and this would be great addition.
Please include me in the drawing!
Jane — I am sorry, the contest ended at 11:59 p.m.. Your entry came 5 hours and 30 minutes too late.
