Climbing the Mountain
Amazon Product Description
In 2003. Jesus revealed a mission of great mercy to Anne, a lay apostle. The Volumes, which Anne recorded from locutions, came from God the Father, Jesus, Mary, and many saints. This book contains the story of how this mission began under the watchful eye and in complete obedience to the Catholic Church. Also featured is a summary of Anne’s mystical experiences of heaven and her vision of the personal call to holiness that each of us must hear.
I was just checking out, “Climbing the Mountain,” by Anne a lay Apostle. Has anybody read it?

Honestly, I am a little leery of this kind of book and of “mystical experiences” that claim direct revelation from God. Plus…Mary and the saints don’t speak to people.
Peter said in II Peter 1:16-21 that Scripture was “a more sure word” than experience — even the experience he had of seeing the Lord Jesus transfigured before him and speaking to Elijah and Moses.

Barbara — that why I asked. The book of Revelation says the time of the prophets has ended, and we are to beware of those coming claiming new revelations from God.
I don’t get ‘lay apostle’. But I’d be interested in reading it, to see what she has to say, or experienced — although good point, I’d be reading with my eyes wide open.
There was a lovely memoir published here in Ireland called “Angels in My Hair” that I started reading before giving to our aunt. Darn. Now I need to get it back LOL.

I am wary of anyone claiming a direct line to God.
