Looking for a meme with thoughtful questions? On Tuesdays click on the link below and pick up the questions. On Wednesdays, post your answers.
1. Would you rather host party or simply attend a party?
I’d rather skip the party altogether, but if I have to choose: attend — and leave before it is time to clean up.
2. Tell us about the most memorable party you’ve been to.
It was one of my own, and it was such a success that I am still in awe over 20 years later.
3. What is one thing you hope for in the after-life?
I don’t have to hope. The Bible tells me what will be. What I most look forward to is the end of violence.
4. What do you enjoy most about sunshine?
Sunshine. I am a plant. I soak it up and flourish.
5. When you attend a bridal/baby shower, do you prefer to bring your own gift or chip in with others to buy a larger gift?
It depends on the recipient’s needs. I offer my gift as a blessing. If something expensive is truly needed (like a stroller) I will gladly chip in.
6. Would you rather have a FREE week of having your house cleaned or all of your meals cooked for you and your family?
By all means, clean the house.
7. What song describes your mood today?
Grandma Got Run-over By a Reindeer.
8. What is something you received for your own bridal shower/wedding that you still own or use? (If you are not married, feel free to sub a gift you received a long time ago.)
Pft. After two trans-Pacific moves I don’t have much of anything left. My oldest possession is Gram’s depression era milk glass salt & pepper shakers.
9. Your favorite flavor of ice cream is?
Ice cream.
10. When was the last time you felt “tested?”
Right now, trying to answer these questions.
11. “[Fill in the blank] is a food that once I start eating I find really hard to stop.”
Cookies.
12. “—–” is the best motivation.
Love.

So sweet-I might cry! At least these questions don’t bore a person to death. It’s always good to know which favorite ice cream you like ;P
Lavon — I’ve never met an ice cream I didn’t like.
You and me on parties…on the other hand, you must love having people visit as I see your hospitality all the time on your blog (Susan and crowd, Thom, etc.) And I can guess that wherever Thom or Susan are, it IS a party.
Kelley — party planning and party clean up I don’t like. A house full of laughter, friends and good times, I love!
Ice cream! haha hilarious! 🙂 I wish I´d thought of that.
Nr. 7 – Sometimes I feel that way too. I think it´s the age matter…
Betty — my arthritis was really acting up yesterday. My left elbow swelled and my neck tied in knots. I was aching.
Your song made me smile!
I considered putting just “ice cream” for my answer. And #10 cracked me up! Although these questions weren’t as “testing” as some weeks!
We were indeed on the same wavelength!
Linda – -for some reasons these questions tested my patience. I don’t know why. There really isn’t anything wrong with them or difficult about them. It was just my mood.
I still have an enamel casserole pan which was a wedding present 35 years ago. 🙂
Akelamalu — what a blessing to have tangible physical history. I moved so often in my marriage that much was lost along the way — including love and respect. And I haven’t moved as often since my marriage ended, but I have moved far. Again, much was lost.
The sunshine on the way to work this morning was so very beautiful.
I don’t care much for parties unless I can sit in a corner and watch.
Nessa — that’s pretty much how I feel, too.
I am with you with your nr6.
Love your ice cream answer!
Didn’t know I had the cookie monster in my reader 8)
Mar — #6 includes doing the dishes right? And the ironing? My two least favorite chores.
I’d like to hear more about the awesome successful party!
Excellent answer to #12, and I smiled at several others, especially the one about patience. 🙂
Barbara — it wasn’t planned, it evolved. I invited a bunch of people to my apartment for a taco feast. A couple of people sat down at the chess board. I had a huge, decorative cribbage board on the wall and someone else asked if one could really play a game with it. I found them cards. The Scrabble Board and the Yahtzee game came out next.
What was supposed to be a quick bite to eat after the baseball game became a party that lasted until 2:00 a.m. The stereo never came on, there was little to no alcohol, and the other people in the quadraplex joined us so there were no neighbors to complain. It was fun.
#1,#4,#6 could have been my answers.agree wholeheartedly with #12 and most of the #9 🙂
Polona –only most of #9? So you only like the ice or you only like the milk?
oh, i love ice cream but not all the flavours invented (chocolate rules – the darker the better) but although i love strawberries i don’t fancy strawberry ice cream at all (might have something to do with the poisonong i once suffered)
Homemade ginger ice cream. It’s wonderful, and something about the ginger keeps me from eating more than a single serving.
Karen — sounds yummy — and ginger is a thing to be enjoyed in moderation.
Haha, I like your answer for the one about being tested. I put that I couldn’t remembr, but now that I think about it… this survey would have been more accurate haha!
The RD questions have been better….LOL
I agree about the ice cream, and the cookies!
I totally agree with you on #6 and I’m sorry I had to miss #2!!
