Welcome to Punny Monday. Every Sunday evening about midnight Pacific Daylight Savings Time I post an original photo and ask my readers to figure out what was going on in my brain (or Amoeba’s) when he/I/we made it.
What noun (single object, TWO words) does this photo represent? EMAIL your answers and leave a comment designed to either help or confuse your fellow game players. The first contestant to EMAIL me the right answer wins a featured link in my blog which will display until next Monday when we’ll play this little game again. Enjoy.
PLEASE, do not write your guess in the comments. It spoils the game for the other players. Your guesses will be shared when the game ends. Oh, and just because someone announces they’ve won, doesn’t mean that they have. Please keep guessing until I post the answers!
TWO words! TWO words!
NOT “check list”.
One, two, three ……
The numbers continue beyond 7. Don’t let your mind stop there.
I am willing to bet that most of us has one of these, even though none of us use them as often as we used to!

i am still awake at this the witching hour…
and i don’t have a clue!
i’m always late – today i’m early and i don’t have a guess!
I too am awake late…. (early?) … I think I have an answer
Punny Monday: check, but I have no clue.
Get more coffee. Check
i’m going to bed
I’m sending my answer. Another item done today.
Love the purple sharpie. What did we do before Sharpies?
I don’t have a CLUE!!!!!
I am thinking, I am thinking. Nothing is coming, oh drat.
I love these Punny Monday’s Quilly – always getting me thinking which is an achievement in itself! No ideas for this week yet, though…
Yeah, your clue helped a lot. NOT.
I second Nessa !
I am making my list and checking it twice
This is the hardest it has been in awhile!
I sent what might be a far-fetched guess. 🙂
I fell asleep on the couch last night and woke up after 3 this morning — midnight your time — and thought, “Oh, I can check Punny Monday early!” It didn’t help. I went on to bed and even with knowing no one has won and with the new hints — nothing is coming to mind except “check list.” Which isn’t it. Don’t know why my brain is si dull this morning — or afternoon now.
Just thought I’d check to see if anyone has one yet!
Just thought I’d check to see if anyone has woe yet!
Well, I tried to stop it mid-post to correct the “one” to “won” but that obviously didn’t work. I better check my comment before hitting submit!
I know what it is. HA!!!!!! But having Quilly right next to me and telling her I would throw her off the pier helped get me more clues. 🙂
That was fun, playing in person!
I’m in outer space. Wonder if I’d need one of these there? No clue even with the clues. Quilly, these pun challenges are so much fun!
Well, Quilly, I sent you only one, a much better one that you gave me credit for.
My suggestion was “Seven Czechs.” 🙂 Not ‘cross Czechs.’
But that’s okay, I am not complaining. It is just that I was sooooo clever and very original. 😉
Ahhhhh, I don’t feel bad about not getting it, as we don’t use that phrase in the UK, but have a ‘Current Account’ at the bank, from which we can draw cheques…. And those symbols you call checks we call ‘ticks’…. Think I was hamstrung from the start on this one 🙂
HEY! I sent in checking account too…. later in the day… but long before winners were posted. Yep! I did!
Congrats to Linda & Raven too!
Oh yea… it was in the same email with checks & balances and check counter… how’d ya MISS it??? LOL!
This was a tough one. Congrads to Linda and Raven!
