Punny Monday #21
Welcome to Punny Monday. Every Sunday evening about midnight Pacific Daylight Savings Time I post an original photo and ask my readers to figure out what was going on in my brain (or Amoeba’s) when he/I/we made it.
What noun (single noun, TWO words) does this photo represent? EMAIL your answers and leave a comment designed to either help or confuse your fellow game players. The first contestant to EMAIL me the right answer wins a featured link in my blog which will display until next Monday when we’ll play this little game again. Enjoy.
PLEASE, do not write your guess in the comments. It spoils the game for the other players. Your guesses will be shared when the game ends. Oh, and just because someone announces they’ve won, doesn’t mean that they have. Please keep guessing until I post the answers!

Thinking darkly today, are we? 🙂
I sent in one idea but will keep the ol’ brain percolating on it for a while.
Barbara — actually, Susan gave me this idea when she said, “Wow, my kids sure killed that box of cereal fast.”
Woot! So it does pay to stay up til 3 a.m.! 🙂 I didn’t really stay up just for Punny Monday, but I was up late working on something because it was almost the only time all weekend I had any quiet and solitude and I wanted to get it done before morning. Then when I saw it was near Punny Monday time, I was delighted that maybe I’d have a chance this time.
I LIKE knowing how many words are in the answer.
Barbara — the word count probably isn’t a standard feature.
My brain is frozen anyway ! it’s 57 °F here ! Should I open my veins with your knife ?
Gattina — that is likely to make you even colder still — and our temps are running about the same.
It looks like it’s a case for CSI!
Thanks, Mar. You helped me come up with my categories!
At least I managed to have some thought about it this week – more so than the mental vacuity of the past few weeks 🙂
Alastair — why is it every one has no trouble getting the violent concepts?
You don’t like Quakers? No, that can’t be it. I got nothing, obviously.
Nessa — it isn’t an anti-Quaker sentiment.
Nooooooooooo! Poor Mikey!
Melli — indeed.
I don’t have the slightest idea. So, I’m just looking forward for an answer. Have a wonderful week ahead 🙂
Rosidah — it is nuice to know that violence doesn’t come immediately to your mind!
Ah… now that I know the answer, it makes perfectly sense. I don’t know how you come up with these great puns. Have a wonderful day.
I’m not even venturing a guess. When you limited it to two words there went my guess…Knife-in-a-Box LOL
Thom — you always make me laugh.
He won’t eat it. Mikey hates everything!
South Lakes — obviously Amoeba isn’t too fond of it, either. 😉
Well, when I first saw the picture I thought I knew immediately what it was UNTIL I saw that you were looking for just TWO words……now, I got NOTHING!!!!! I’ll keep thinking.
Jane — I thought this was waaaay easy.
Oh I think this one is easy. Too bad I’m hours late.
Of course, if I’m wrong, I’ll have cereal, I mean egg, on my face!
Linda — you weren’t wrong. Your face is tardy, but it’s still clean. 😉
Two words? But my guess has three. With only two, I’m stumped.
Mumma — you still managed to come up with the correct guess.
Think I got it. Time will tell. I love Punny Monday.
Raven — yep. You got it. I am glad I am a highlight of your week.
drawing a blank here… can’t wait to see the answer
Polona — no violence where you live? (hahahahaha)
ohh mann…I’m so late but I’m going to quick guess!
Shelly — you need to set a clock to remind you …
It’s not the remembering part! It’s all the chores that limit my computer time 😉
No idea whatsoever! Just popping in to say hello!
Hi, Beth! Welcome. What a time to pop in!
Well, it’s easy when you know the answer.
Nessa — why do you think I make the game?
Well, I never make it over here in time for this but I always enjoy it afterward.
I love the cereal choice as well.
Logo — the cereal is among my faves, too.
If anyone in beverly hills is clued in its cher shes almost 16 shes rich shes way popular and she loves letting the world benefit by her expertise in all of lifes important issues alicia silverstone is clueless
Karen — apparently so are you. This is way off topic but since you aren’t being nasty to anyone, it can stay.
I was gonna say Knife in the back…but Cereal Killer makes so much more sense!
Melissa — oh dear. I wasn’t trying to make sense! I was trying to make nonsense!
I’m impressed! No way I would have gotten that. I can’t even do the Thursday New York Times crosswords.
Kay — trust me, this was much easier than TNYT crossword!
Ohhhh, brilliant, congrats Barbara! and there I was thinking of “a slice of life”, ha ha
Mar — that answer was just a cut below par … 😉
OOOOOOOO, that was excellent!! That just may be a new favorite for me.
Susan — that’s fitting since you and your kids inspired it! (See my comment to Barbara.)
This one, I could have done… CEREAL KILLER!!
However, I would have had to spend time on the computer to do it!
My in-laws leave tomorrow, but then I have the Newsletter to pull together and get my oldest 3 boys ready for their summer mission trip… and then on Friday night, more guests arrive for the weekend. My in-laws return next week and stay until after the holiday weekend.
I told my kids I”m not allowed to get sick until July 17th. By then, all camps and events (VBS, etc) will be completed.
Laughing extra over the Quaker Life cereal being used….
I never see these until the answers are posted but I would have guessed “Slice of Life” and thereby I would have been wrong haha.
