Punny Monday #23

Welcome to Punny Monday. Every Sunday evening about midnight Pacific Daylight Savings Time I post an original photo and ask my readers to figure out what was going on in my brain (or Amoeba’s) when he/I/we made it.

Two for the price of one!  I’ll need a guess for photo one AND a guess for photo two.  You might need to know a bit of American History to get them both, but these two photos go together and each one could be used as a hint for the other!

What noun does this photo represent?

And, what noun does this photo represent? EMAIL your answers and leave a comment designed to either help or confuse your fellow game players. The first contestant to EMAIL me the right answer wins a featured link in my blog which will display until next Monday when we’ll play this little game again. Enjoy.

PLEASE, do not write your guess in the comments. It spoils the game for the other players. Your guesses will be shared when the game ends. Oh, and just because someone announces they’ve won, doesn’t mean that they have. Please keep guessing until I post the answers!

  1. Up too late…. Going to send a couple of guesses and head to bead.

Glad to read that your medical thingy was benign. Will read properly tomorrow.

      1. I may not have been able to type straight, but I WON! Yippee… by a seconds, I see. Whew. Wish I could do beading. I dabbled with it for a while, but have a decided lack of talent.

    1. Tilden – -that mangy feather was shed by a Makaha peacock 3 years ago. It has been in other photos in the past.

      1. I was using a different tactic this time. Trying to make everyone think I didn’t know them HA!!!!

      1. This was probably my best chance of the year. I woke up on EDT. If I go to Hawai’i, I still doubt I’ll stay up until midnight PT.

  2. Still I do not get puns!!! I am just too literal minded!!! I am sure there is some method to your madness but it would hjave been so much simpler for me and made so much more sense if you had of said, ….. Name that tune!!! xooxoxox

    1. Caryl — you gave me the answer I was certain nobody would actually get, that’s why I said I wanted TWO answers. I should have left it at one answer for two pics, which was my first thought.

  3. I think I have no hope at all this time. The first one I think I get but it seems too obvious, so I might be wrong. The second photo has me entirely stumped. American History is really not my strong point.

Some trivia for you in lieu of a guess: Australia now has its first female Prime Minister. Where I live, all the highest positions of power are now held by women: Governor, Premier, Governor-General & Prime Minister. We also have a female member of parliament in our Federal electorate.

    1. Mumma — thanks for playing along. And Hooray for Australia being so forward thinking. America could use a dose of that.

  4. A couple came to mind right away, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re right — when it seems easy then I am afraid I overlooked something. But since you said they were easy…I’ll hope I am on the right track.

  5. I got the first one ok (kept it for myself 😀 ) But…those are noodles! in the second picture… I guess I was thinking too literally. Happy 4th of July weekend!!

  6. what on earth do a jar opf macaroni, a baseball cap and a peacock feather have to do with… oh never mind. i guess you have to be american to get that

  7. I didn’t look at the answers until I had guessed in my head. The second one was easy but I didn’t get the first one. I should have, but I didn’t haha.

  8. That’s spiral pasta, not macaroni. Though even if it was, I still wouldn’t have got it. At least I got July 4th right.
