Visiting Massachusetts, Part I

We stayed at the John Carver Inn & Spa in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Amoeba’s wonderful, lovely, and delightfully mouthy niece, Amanda, works there. We were given the Queen’s Suite, which has a wonderful queen-sized feather-topped bed we adored.  It also came with feather pillows.  Both the bed and the pillows were fluffy yet firm, providing the best of both textures.

queenThis is the queen-sized feather-top bed I very much wanted to figure out how to get into the suitcase and bring home.  Amoeba wouldn’t help me.  Sometimes he is a real pain.

queen bedroomAnother view of the queen bed, and the bedroom side of the double-sided fireplace.  Beside the fireplace is a small shelf where were were gifted with bottled water daily.  There was also a one cup coffee/tea maker and a refrigerator.

queen tub & TVHere is the dream bathtub big enough for a party, that neither of us used.  Mostly our time in our room was spent sleeping, getting ready to go, or a few minutes of checking email.

queen sitting roomHere is Amoeba sitting at the desk in the living room.  Even though we were on vacation, he did have to address a couple of work matters — although this looks to me like he was answering comments on my blog.  To the right you can see the couch, the Mac laptop I was using, and the small throw blanket provided to the room.  To the left you can see an armour enertainment center that housed the big TV.  We never turned either TV on.  I did notice that the big TV boasted a DVD player and a game system.
