Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. You can’t be sick.. it’s the weekend!

I love the comment you left on Dr. John’s link of the day “Dust on a Dusty Road”. Very true!

Enjoy your tea and chicken soup. Hope you feel better soon.

  2. First weeks of school, the kids always get sick. And I would suppose it goes for the teacher as well………so sorry to hear this…….even your hair hurts…….ouch. You need the sneezing, aching, throat hurts, medicine……..but what medicine is that? I can’t remember…….

Go back to bed…….take pills……..hot soup, sleep……hugs to you sick little Quilly… wish i could bring you some chicken soup……

  3. Nea — Nyquil. Nope — I don’t need that. I need an undertaker. It has gone into my chest and now my back and shoulder blades hurt. I am not normally a baby, but I am not liking this! and the INSIDE of my ears itch!

  4. OUCh, sounds like you are working your way into pneumonia. Or something quite as icky…… YOU DEFINIELY got infection.

  5. Me. Two cats. I am not weak. I am not running a fever. I have an appetite and I’m drinking my fluids — I just FEEL worse than I usually do when I am sick. Even my jaw hurts.

Generally I just keep plugging and ignoring the ickies because there’s nothing I can do about them anyway, but these are very icky, ickies. though the mucus I’m secreting is still clear.

I periodically wash my sinuses with saline, I have liberally smeared myself in Landers (to the disgust of the cats) and a couple of my blogging friends are real life friends — they have called me with offers of aid … including real, not virtual chicken soup.

I have had pnemonia and I’m not there yet. The wheezing is in my throat, not my lungs. My cough is productive.

  6. I hope you feel better! I was sick 2 weeks ago with a sinus infection and I was so miserable! I wish you a speedy recovery.

  7. I am sorry to hear you are sick and right when school has started…..big bummer.

I am finally getting over my cold/cough which has been about three weeks. I LOVE Nyquil, bu the way.

  8. You’ll get over it..
At least I hope you will šŸ˜›
I Need comments from such a significant blogger as you over at my blog:D And from what I’ve seen, I want you to continue posting over here too šŸ™‚
Hope you’ll get better soon šŸ™‚

  9. Ha! Someone else who uses the phrase “even my hair hurts.” Even though I feel bad that you feel so miserable, that made me laugh because I say the same thing and people look at me like I’m nuts or something. Now I know at least one other person who says it. Hope you feel better real soon. I’ve found that taking three 200mg capsules of Advil and going to bed helps considerably with the aches and pains.
