Welcome

I hope you made the electronic trip safely. Leave me a note so I’ll know you aren’t floating in cyber space.

I know it all looks knew and different, but come in and make yourself at home. It’s a whole new learning curve for me, so it might be awhile before this place is as cozy as the last. I gotta tell you this forum has some fantastic features! I think I’m going to like it here!

Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. Hey, I’ve been looking for something new. I think blogger and 360 have about run their course, and the drama on 360?! Geez!!

I’ve been meaning to sit down and email you but life, blah, blah, blah. I could give you a thousand excuses but I won’t. I set up a new blogger, well re-opened a really old one, (I’ll explain in private) and went to find you only to find this…

So, give me the scoop!! Tell me all about this place, I’ll probably join you here.

I hope you had a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year. Hugs!!!

  2. Hey, Donna — I knew from the start that 360 was not the place for me, and Blogger has made me nutty lately. They have just arbitarily stripped the formatting from many of my posts.

So far I am quite taken with everything Word Press offers. Give it a peek.

  3. Silver, I’m not leaving my friends, just moving my blog to more stable ground. You might want to check out the amenities — this place is nice!

  4. HI, nice place you got here. WordPress.com is a bit annoying too but its a change from blogger 🙂

One word of advice….don’t delete all your old blogger stuff for a long time. I went to word press.com first then imported my blogger stuff then deleted it (just way too tidy!) Then I became disgruntled with wordpress.com and decided to go to a independent wordpress blog and there was no tool for importing from wordpress.com to wordpress, only from blogger to wordpress.
If this doesn’t make sense, don’t worry 🙂

  5. Kyah — I suppose no matter where one goes there is a reason to gripe. Don’t worry, I have no intentions of deleting the Blogger account now or ever. Thanks for the advice. Come back again!

  6. I found you, I was scared at first that you were not blogging anymore. Since I have been laid up your blog is one of the highlights of my day!!!

  7. Hi Quill

Just stopping by to say hello and hope you are going to be happy with your move. Have also came by to let you know I’ve further commented on your earlier post “The Flag That Stands For Freedom”. Just didn’t want you to mis-understand what I wanted to say.

I’ll put a link up for this site on the blogger.

  8. Late she comes, but she does come. I was a bit scared traveling in cyberspace, not quite knowing where I´d end up. But I feel better now. This indeed looks like the beginning of a great place. The best of luck with figuring it all out 🙂
