Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. Despite what OC’s pushing, do not get a Mac. They too break down. Apple does not have a voodoo file they place on each of their products that keeps it from having any problems whatsoever. Look at the crap with the iPhone for a prime example. Just say no to the dark lord, Steve Jobs, and wait for the PC to be repaired. 😉

Also, I’m currently trying to help another friend with a computer problem. In the past, I’ve been treated to a fantastic meal and a kiss from a Beverly Hills chef for fixing his computer. Let me know if I can do anything to help you get it fixed earlier than 3 weeks.

  2. Sorry to hear your computer went down. I understand from your other blog that Vista is not as wonderful as it was supposed to be.

  3. Quilly I will ask that you pc heals quickly and you will be posting soon. I like Pauline liked the pictures of the Fawn.

PS, do you want to join facebook, if you do send me an email and I’ll invite ya. Then you will get to see my real name (Not a Fart in it to be found)

Blessings and prayers for a speedy recovery for your pc

    Bill

  4. Oh No!!!!

As for the push for a Mac, I have never had a problem with Macs. My G4 is still pristine and 7 years old. Our PC on the other hand is newer and has been fixed I don’t know how many times.

  5. Pauline — I must reurn the comp to Gateway (by mail). They will install a new hard drive and return the machine.

Brig — the time issue is the mail. And no offense, but I don’t really want to kiss you.

Dr. John — that is the understatement of the year. Most of the current software — including my expensive digital camera — is not compatable with Vista and won’t be anytime soon. Plus Vista has so many holes/flaws/bugs that the outcry on the web is horrendous.

Bill — I have access to the Friday Habor Lab’s computer room and library, so I have connectivity. Still, this is a small UW satellite campus and if a student needs a computer as a guest, I will willingly vacate my seat.

Thanks for the facebook invite, but no thanks — blogging already takes enough of my time.

    Mumma — but I didn’t have the $$ to get a Mac.
