Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. How funny… a friend of mine who happens to live on Oahu asked me yesterday to ask you if you can smell plumeria all around you. Her neighbors to either side of her house have plumeria bushes in their yards and they smell lovely.

  2. Oh, One of the most lovely smelling flowers that I know. We used to be able to grow them in Garden Grove because it never froze, but not here in Georgia. I had almost forgotten about them, thank you for reminding me. I was telling my husband this morning about your move, and he asked me where in Hawaii you moved to, and I had to confess I didn’t know. He has friends that live there, but I don’t know where they are either. I told him that at sometime in our life, I would like to go and see Hawaii. I want to see the flowers, and just maybe a friend or two……:):)

  3. Melli — this entire island is covered in flowers and sweet scented breezes.

Polona — they sell these scents bottled, but it really isn’t the same.

Brooke — Our complex has Plumeria, Hibiscus, Bird of Paradise and much more ….

Nea — Oahu. Makaha Valley. The closest town is Waianae. We are miles from Honolulu and Waikiki, and we prefer it that way.

Kat — as lovely as …

Jackie — you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
