Give-n-Take

He cooked dinner, a pork Sweet & Sour Stir Fry.  She thanked him and told him it was delicious.   She also said, “You know, of course, that I adore you.”

“What?”  He said all innocent and offended.  “I go to all the trouble of cooking you this great meal, and you accuse me of being unhinged?”

She said, “Actually, honey, that thought hadn’t crossed my mind, but now that you mention it …”

“Hey!”  He hollers.

She giggles fiendishly.

ONE HOUR LATER:

She stands beside him at his desk.  “Are you ready for your ice cream now?”

“Why yes,” he says.  “I think I am.”

“Okay,” she says, “But tonight I am going to make you pay for it in advance.”

“A kiss?” he asks.

“Yes,” she answers.

He nods , then tips his head sideways, offering his cheek.  She kisses it, says, “I love you,” and is three steps away before it dawns on her what has just happened.  “Hey!”  She hollers.

He giggles fiendishly.

    1. Barbara — if I am charging him a kiss for a scoop of ice cream, how is it that he is the one who got kissed? It’s because he is tricksy like that!

  1. 🙂 nice to see that O’C can sneak in under the radar every now and then

  2. With all these “tricksy” references, I’m wondering if you’ve been hanging out with Gollum lately. 😉

    1. Tricksy and onesy are my current fave words. I watch no TV and very few movies, but it isn’t hard to figure out which ones I’ve seen!

  3. awwww… so cute, but… shouldn’t you two be getting a room somewhere?

    😉

    1. Sauerkraut — not so funny, really. 1.) He has his own blog. 2.) From time to time he decides not to encourage me to post this kind of stuff.
