As I was commenting on your white orchids, you were posting another beauty! Hey, how long is it before Halloween? lol To me the brown stripes make it look like bumble bees are visiting the flowers. 😀

Cherie — I even have a photograph of an orchid that looks just like a huge spider. These really are incredible plants. Stay tuned!
Gorgeous. Orchids aren’t my favorite flowers, but they’re intriguingly detailed.

Barbara — my favorite flowers are Daisies. I am a country girl at heart, but I do think orchids are lovely.
Isn’t that the popcorn orchid? Very nice

Thom — I have no clue what it’s name is, otherwise it would be in the label! You taste it and tell me, is it popcorn? 😉
LOL at Thom’s comment!!
Lovely orchid!!
Now press that publish button, it’s Monday here already, you know?? 😉
Mar — but it isn’t Monday here. Neener, neener, neener!
Isn’t that a Dancing Lady? My mother is raising something that looks like that.

Kay — I like that name much better than the one Thom gave it! I really don’t know the name and hate to bother Amoeba with such things and pull him away from his real work.
How beautiful! Is that what you found with your camera this weekend? Very worth it.

Always nice to see a sunny, happy flower! 🙂
Enjoy those tropical beauties while you can. San Juan might be an island, but it sure isn’t the tropics! (But of course, you already know that! 😛 )

Awwww! Very pretty indeed!

How pretty, I love those ruffles!
But Thom’s right — it DOES look like popcorn (or is that only because I’m on a diet?) It’s popcorn-shaped and butter-coloured. So I had to google it and whaddyaknow, he’s right! You’ve got popcorn orchids; you should have tasted them. LOL
Anyhow, it’s gorgeous against that reddish-brown texture in the background; it makes an amazing photograph.

Orchids are fascinating. I like Spider Mums best. They look all frilly.
