Punny Monday #16

Welcome to Punny Monday. Every Sunday evening about midnight Pacific Daylight Savings Time I post an original photo and ask my readers to figure out what was going on in my brain (or Amoeba’s) when he/I/we made it.

What phrase does this photo represent? EMAIL your answers and leave a comment designed to either help or confuse your fellow game players. The first contestant to EMAIL me the right answer wins a featured link in my blog which will display until next Monday when we’ll play this little game again. Enjoy.

PLEASE, do not write your guess in the comments. It spoils the game for the other players. Your guesses will be shared when the game ends. Oh, and just because someone announces they’ve won, doesn’t mean that they have. Please keep guessing until I post the answers!

  1. Okay. I gotta tell you all something. Quilly emailed me and asked me to watch to make sure that Punny Monday and Microfiction Monday got posted because she has been having problems with her scheduled posts. Well they didn’t post and I couldn’t get them to post. So I did a copy and paste and created a brand new post because the edit didn’t take on hers. So there you have it. I’m taking myself out of the running for this because I saw the picture before I posted so I wont be guessing. (As if I knew what it was anyway LOL) If something is wrong with this blame me LOL Q. I hope you’re having fun.

  2. Well I guessed — but I’m feeling better after your comment Thom because none of my scheduled posts worked this week either, and I blamed ‘user error’… but who knows, maybe not.

I’m looking forward to everyone being home (on and offline) again, including myself! See you all later!

  3. This week’s is tougher than getting a post up on time. Thom, that was gracious of you. Can I have an excuse, too?

  4. Thanks for helping out, Thom. I’d hate to miss the opportunity to feel stupid! LOL

This may be a record for the most obtuse picture. Either that or I’m dense.

  5. Now I’m worried about scheduled posts. I’ve got several in the queue ready to go in my absence!

I’ve put in a few guesses, but they’re probably pretty lame…

  6. Hey Thom, Quilly had said this one would be hard. It didn’t really seem so hard but then I just said, “oh well, guess I probably missed on it again.” Now I think I have a chance!
Thanks for sitting with it. 🙂
    ..

    1. I was thinking that, too — that the fingers look like goalposts and must be like that for a reason — but I couldn’t come up with anything involving all that, either.

      1. Barbara, The goalpost suspense is over — I feel better ’cause I got a coupon for a free Freschetta and Avon samples in today’s mail.

  7. Congrats to Polona! I think I like Punny Money the best. 🙂 I never thought of “buck” either — that would have opened another whole line of possibilities.

  8. .
Congratulations, Polona! Like eyes between the finger say ‘Look Up!’ these guys are saying ‘Buck UP!’ That’s good. At least I had the ‘buck’ part right. 🙂
Maybe next tine … Thank you guys!
