what a interesting surface of water… It seems to absorb all reflection… Nicely shot !
‘Tsuki — look more carefully. There is a reflection under the bridge and reflections all along the shore.
What a gorgeous scenery!
Breathtakingly wide and big, wow,…
Nicole — the Columbia is a pretty impressive river.
Great Picture Quilly, Beautiful part of the world. That is a big bridge
Bill — big bridge for a big river. The scenery is pretty amazing.
That is magnificent. It is pure beauty and joy. Well done Q 🙂
Thanks, Thom.
I agree with Thom. That is magnificent. I also agree with Bill. That is a big bridge.
Karen – -just don’t agree with Bill & Thom too often. It makes them unmanageable.
What a shot! This is so beautiful!
James — thank you. This scenery begs to be photographed.
The bright colors and the muted shades are what make this Superior Snap simply SPECTACULAR. Bravo!
Melissa, the bright colors and muted shades are also what helps bring the scope of this scene into perspective!
Beautiful scene — beautiful shot.
Barbara — thank you.
Gorgeous scenery!
Kala — Washington is a state of many surprising facets.
Maannnnnnnn… I’ll tell ya — your west coast scenery is so different than ours … and it’s gorgeous! That is just beautiful Quilly. I have a reflection up today that I really should have put in WR – but I just don’t have time to visit on that today…
Have a GREAT day Quill!
Melli — this is pretty much central Washington State — high desert. Hot, dry, arid — yet overflowing with water!
awww… wonderful scenery, beautiful light… interesting how all the reflections are muted except the vertical railing…
Polona — my eyes could see the arch of the bridge, but apparently the camera couldn’t.
When driving east toward Vantage and this bridge, I am always struck by the phrase, “Welcome to God’s country!” Unfortunately, I am usually driving and don’t get much chance to look at the “Grandpa lets loose the horses” statuary.
Karen — I have only driven past there a couple of times since 1989. My frequent trips were way before then. After 1991 I didn’t pass that way again until 2009!
Amazingly huge. Great shot.
Nessa — mind-bogglingly huge. I always stop at the west bound scenic view area and spend time contemplating the river.
