Argh! Monday!

Here it is Monday and folks are wondering about PM.  I posted that great big long to-do list and I have only gotten half way through it.   I am busy.  I forgot Punny Monday — again.  To those of you who have sent notes of concern — thank you, we are both fine, just busy.  Today is the first day of Spring classes and Amoeba is teaching.  We have been distracted.

To the person who sent the less-than-concerned note:  I am sorry you find me lacking as a blogger, however to my way of thinking in order for there to be a virtual part of my life, I have to take care of the reality part.  If you are not happy with the posts on my blog, feel free to pass by without stopping.

Thanks, folks.  I’ll be back as soon as I can.

Quilly is the pseudonym of Charlene L. Amsden, who lives on The Big Island in Hawaii. When she is not hanging out with Amoeba, she is likely teaching or sewing. Or she could be cooking, taking photographs, or even writing. But if she's not doing any of that, she's probably on Facebook or tinkering with her blog.

  1. Sounds like your getting a lot accomplished. I love days like that. I have lots to tackle too but I put it on hold for a couple days. Spending a couple extra days with my kiddos doing some fun things and patiently waiting for our snow to melt so we can get outside and play. Have a great day Quilly.

  2. How inconsiderate! Everyone gets busy in REAL life, and it´s totally ok to take a break!
Hope you get a lot accomplished this week! Have a good one.

  3. I figured when I saw the list of all that was on your plate that there might not be a Punny Monday.

It’s pretty rude for someone to tell you you’re lacking as a blogger. What’s going on in real time almost always trumps what’s going on online.

  4. Seriously Quilly – we have homes to take care of, jobs to go to, people to interact with. We cannot be on the internet 24/7 (although some people seem to be!)

  5. Are you kidding? Someone actually sent you a message like that? How bizarre!

I enjoy your posts so much that it doesn’t matter to me if you post once a month or thirty times a day. The important thing is that you and Amoeba are healthy and happy and living your reality so that you have all that cool stuff to share with all of us!

  6. Gee, as a friend of mine used to say, “who peed in their post-toasties?”

Hoping that they are overcome with God’s grace so they can extend it to you and others.

Since I won two weeks straight and had to sit out this week, I’m perfectly fine with your forgetting it! Because it’s all about ME, you know! 🙂

  7. So sorry about the inconsiderate commentor. Most of us understand that blogging takes the back burner when there are real life things to contend with. We love you and wish the best for you always…..hang in there!!!!!!

  8. Ha! I was just checking in to see if I had missed it somehow. Glad all is well. Love the chair in the post below. Hope Spring is more evident in your corner of the world than it is here. It’s 20 something right now and supposed to go down to 13 later. Isn’t it supposed to be getting warmer?

  9. .
Oh Quilly, I hope it wasn’t me. To me you are the Queen of bloggers and I am glad that you have your priorities straight. I wouldn’t ever want to hurt your feelings either about anything. That could happen though because I tease a lot.

I get a break from humiliation this week by missing the ‘Punny Monday’ guessing. Only two of mine have ever been right and Mrs. Jim suggested one of those!

Amoeba is to be envied. That first day of classes is a part of school that I dearly miss. All of those new (a few returning from another class) students seemed to be just waiting so that we could get to know and respect each other.

Twenty-two years X two semesters a year X 25 (conservative average) students per class X five classes per semester = 5500 students plus summer students I have taught in our college. To that we can add the Sunday school, NASA and Air Force students and OJTers.

    1. Jim, a young lady told me that since I could never seem to get my act together, she was fed up and would never be stopping by for Punny Monday again. She is who made me so cranky this morning.
