Drivetime Comes to Tampa

Drivetime has just opened a new dealership in Tampa, Florida.

Drivetime is the nation’s largest dealership with over 75 locations specializing in selling used cars to people with credit problems. That’s all Drivetime does, and because they’re also the bank, they can get you a car regardless of your credit history.

Eons ago, when I was first divorced, I bought a car from Drivetime.  It was a good car.  I loved it.

Orlando in October

Orlando, Florida is a fantastic year-round vacation spot.  The weather is great and there’s always something fun to do.  In fact, I was just looking at an incredible site online: Orlando Fun Tickets.  I could plan a half dozen amazing vacations without ever leaving that site!  Help me choose!  Walt Disney World?  Sea World Adventure Park?  Universal Studios Orlando?  Kennedy Space Center?  Which should it be?

At Kennedy Space Center I can enjoy a special tour through restricted areas, or have lunch with an astronaut, participate in hands-on exhibits, visit the Astronaut Hall of Fame, and even watch IMAX videos.   If  I visit Universal Studios Orlando in October, I can experience Halloween Horror Nights 2009.  Chucky, Jigsaw, Wolfman and chainsaw welding psychopaths are in charge of the park and would like me to be their victim guest.  Sea World Adventure Park sounds inviting, too.  I could see Shamu or make like a fish myself and swim with the dolphins at Aquatica, Sea World’s all new state-of-the-art waterpark.   And then there’s Disney World — the theme park that is a major vacation all by itself!  There’s Magic Kingdom Park; Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. I can’t chose between them so I’ll have to do them all!

And after I’ve spent all day in one of those incredible places, I’ll be starving and ready to eat — but where should I go?  Should I go to the Pirate’s Dinner Adventure and wine and dine amid swashbuckling fights and then help rescue the Princess before donning a custume and joining the pirates parade and ball?  I know one night I would have to visit The Arabian Nights, Orlando’s #1 rated dinner show and feast while watching the Prince and Princess wed.  The show features  22 beautifully staged acts and 50+ amazingly talented horses.  And I absolutely must see the 11th century village in Midevil Times!  I can rip into my food with gusto (and my fingers) while watching Knights joust and Andalusian horse races. The next night I could attend the Makahiki Luau Dinner Show and watch an authentic Polynesian Luau!  This one made me giggle not just because I live in Hawaii, but because the luau prices are cheaper in Orlando than they are here in Luau land!  I would save the Sleuth’s Mystery Dinner Show for last.  It is a 2.5 hour dinner show where the guests are expected to get in on the act and help solve the mystery at hand.

I can tell you, if a vacationer gets bored in Orlando, it is because he or she wanted to be bored!  A body could run themselves ragged trying to experience all the fun.  The good news is, you don’t have to run anywhere to get the tickets.  Tickets for everyone of the above events and many, many more are all available at Disney World Tickets.

Oh, and parents, be sure to check out the “Kids Eat Free” link.  If your child is 11 or younger, you can feed him or her free in over 80 participating restaurants.  Now you know that’s a major good deal!

So, have you been to any of these? And what would make your list of must sees?
