that rown thing bottom right, is that a dead leaf or a bug?
That is dried leaf. Believe it or not, this whole thing is dried, preserved by the sun. It crackled and fell apart at the slightest bump, yet there the colors are and unless one looked very close, it appeared fresh.
Beautiful flower! Marianne would have a yard full of them, if they cound survive our winters. And you are right, the leaves move east in our neighborhood by about one house. Our trees and yard are bare today, but I see neighbors to the west still have about half their leaves still in the trees.
Andrew, move Marianne to Hawaii.
