Happy Thanksgiving 2008
May your blessings be bountiful!
.
Once, when my feet were bare, and I had not the means of obtaining shoes
I came to the chief of Kufah in a state of much dejection, and saw there a man who had no feet.
I returned thanks to God and acknowledged his mercies,
and endured my want of shoes with patience.

Happy Thanksgiving
My blessings ARE bountiful — thank you! YOU are one of my bountiful blessings. 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving Quilly! And to OC too…
I think a grill would be perfect… and minds open slowly… much more slowly than cans. I often find myself wishing for a Mind-opener!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and OC!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving to you too. Enjoy the fun of the day making new memories nad sharing love.
That is a beautiful fern. Is that evidence of a rain shower or dust collected?
Wishing you and OC a Very Happy Thanksgiving
Betty — Happy Thanksgiving!
Melli — in God’s good time.
Shelly — thanks! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well.
Jules — Happy Thanksgiving. The Sago Palm is drenched. OC and I actually went out walking between rain bursts last Saturday. Click on the photo to make it bigger.
happy turkey day!
the fern looks beautiful in its wet pearly outfit, btw.
Bill — thank you!
Polona — you and Jules both made the same mistake I did. The plant isn’t a fern. It is actually a Palm Tree!
And a happy Thanksgiving to both you and OC!
Great quote and a lovely photo. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Well, the Sago Palm isn’t a fern, but it isn’t exactly a palm tree either (despite the name). Technically, it’s a cycad. A way to separate them:
ferns: no seeds, no flowers
cycads: seeds but no flowers (they make cones like a pine tree)
palms: seeds and flowers.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. I miss you. xoxoox Caryl
thank you, amoeba 🙂
i think this species is sold in our florist shops as cycas palm (cycas revoluta?)
like the rich greens and wonderful texture in this photo!
(Regarding above, hope your eye is feeling much better.)
