He is quite the handsome fellow! You are so lucky to have variety of colorful birds on the islands. You could use this photo for Ruby Tuesday!

Church Lady — I have in fact posted Brazilian Cardinals a couple of Times on Ruby Tuesday. I should probably play that meme more consistently, but I can’t keep up with all the traffic!
That’s another thing I’m looking forward to see, colorful birds like this one!
That picture is crystal clear, lovely!
Jientje — there is a botanical garden/bird sanctuary here on the island I have not been to yet. I am saving it to explore with you!
What a perfect shot of a beautiful bird!
I’m so impressed with this — his pose and profile, perfect focus, and the way the tree trunk in the background highlights him in the field. DANG, woman!
This is sort of photo I’m always trying for, and just never quite getting LOL.

Susan — well, go sit in the middle of a botanical garden and wait …. That’s what I did! I was taking a rest on a bench under a shady tree and this fella came to me.
I think they must suffer from static electricity or something — I often notice that even when they eat out of the bird feeder, my birds come away with STUFF on their beaks! That is a FABULOUS shot — and he is a beauuuuutiful bird!

Melli — I hadn’t thought of static electricity. I wonder if they would like a drier sheet rub down?
What a unique visitor! And quite handsome! Great shot!
