    Polona — indeed. This particular Amoeba walked about a half mile out on the sandbar at low tide, then dove off and didn’t come up for so long that I started to get worried, which worried Thom, so he went looking. Neither of us realized Amoeba had taken his snorkel and was quite happily exploring the bottom of the bay.
