#223 — Wipe Out

.

Wipe Out, 2009

High winds, high waves, high adventure — Waikiki had them all on this day! The sea spray almost drowns a small sailboat as a surfer takes a dive. This photo was taken from the seawall in Queen Kapi’olani Beach Park.

Great catch! I imagine that you see a lot of this on your beaches.

Nicole — now you see him, now you don’t!

Lew — not as much as I’d like. The best beach times are usually taken up by work!

Ooooops! I see SOME of that in Ocean city too – when a hurricane’s coming! (that’s when we get the BIG waves) But what I never see is that beautiful BLUE water! We are pretty sure Sea Green is the color of oceans out here….

Melli — the Hawaiian water is the gorgeous turquoise color of the TV ads, honestly. It is amazing.
